First hardware synth?

I’m looking to get my first hardware synth but not sure where to start. I’ve been looking at the Korg Minilogue and Behringer clones like the Model D. Are they worth it, or is there something better for a beginner?


I mostly make electronic and ambient stuff, so I’d love something good for pads, leads, and bass. Should I go for a poly or mono synth at this price range?
