From the moment that the Chicago House Scene discovered the Roland TB303 and celebrated the repetitive, hypnotic and trance-like sub frequencies which it could generate, the House and Trance music genres have celebrated and danced to the sound of Acid House. Acid house’s influence on dance music is tangible considering the sheer number of electronic music tracks referencing acid house through the use of its sounds, including Trance, Goa Trance, Psy Trance, Breakbeat, Techno, Trip-Hop and House music.
DJ’s and producers using tracks or sounds from acid house that appeared in the 1990s and 2000s include 808 State, DJ Pierre, Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Luke Vibert, Aphex Twin, The Future Sound of London and many others including artists far outside the acid house genre such as Madonna, the Beastie Boys, and Nine Inch Nails.
The Future Acid sample pack created by Marco Scherer exclusively for Loopmasters is a diverse celebration of the sound of Acid, and includes 909 style Drums alongside the 303 Synth and Bass lines, all with a more modern, minimal edge which are aligned to current music production styles and methods, and modern Electro, Tech and Progressive House and Trance.
In this superb collection you get over 300MB of royalty free material which includes 300 Wav files, 300 Apple Loops and 300 Rex2 Files. You also get 65 Midi Files with the programming for the patterns allowing you the freedom to trigger your own synths and soft samplers.
You get Acid Basses, 303-esque Pads and amazingly rich and deep basslines , synth FX and of course plenty of modulation and tweakability with this collection of 192 Synth, Bass, Pad and Musical elements, complemented with a collection of 100+ Drum Loops and Percussion parts which are created in the style of the 303’s klong term partner – the Roland 909 Drum Machine.
Acid House and the sound of the 303 has become a part of Dance music history, now with the Future Acid pack from Loopmasters, add some Acid inspiration into your Future productions – and define the sound of Future Acid!

You probably don’t remember 1987. If you do, then you might have hazy memories of wearing aviator sunglasses, big leather jackets and fingerless gloves.
But away from the mainstream the first seeds of acid house were being sowed by four house music lovers in Chicago: DJ Pierre, Spanky and Herb Jackson. Together, under their alias Phuture, they created the world’s first acid house record called ‘Acid Tracks’, an 11 minute 17 seconds-long house trip based around a sound that has become synonymous with electronic music ever since, the bassline of the Roland TB-303 synthesizer.
Besides being a crucial DJ and the production wizard partly responsible for the development of Chicago acid-house, DJ Pierre later influenced the sound of New York’s more disco-fied house with his tenure as an in-house producer for Strictly Rhythm Records.
Now Loopmasters have teamed up with the godfather of Acid House himself to bring you a collection of inspiring sounds and samples from the very machines that created the genre which brought the UK and USA closer together through a love of Acid House music.
In this collection which sees DJ Pierre return to his creative roots you can expect to fine over 380MB of exciting content, including 330 Samples, 300 loops and 30 ready to play patches for Reason NNXT, Halion, Kontakt, EXS and SFZ samplers.
DJ Pierre has recorded over 70 Drumloops (expect 808/909 and classic Beatbox samples), 46 Bass Loops (suitable for Electro and Tech House), 46 Classic Acid House Basslines (The signature licks), 16 Grooves, 31 Keyboard Loops, 23 String Parts, 24 Synth Loops, 15 Pad FX and 52 Single Sounds.
This exclusive collection of samples cover the genres of House, Disco, Acid House, Tech and could even be worked into some progressive Techno.

The popularity of various styles comes and goes, however there is one vital ingredient that remains forever unquenched, the thirst for bass. In particular bass of a certain character created by a family of Mono-synths which happen to be from a well-known manufacturer beginning with the letter R.
Drawing on our experience of creating flexible versatile MIDI, we set out to capture the timeless sublime bass sounds of the SH101, MC202, TT303 and a custom modified XoX Box. Armed with sequences optimised for the fantastic four, we programmed them beyond their limits to produce a range of timbres that purr, buzz, bite, howl and scream, but all the while maintaining a contemporary stance for the current Bass House, Garage, Tech House, Deep House, Minimal and Techno scenes. Ambitious we admit, but in our humble opinion well worth the time and effort.
The soul and essence of these machines has been captured across 245 loops @ 122, 123, 124 and 125bpms, 22 Multi-Sample patches and 18 advanced Ableton Instrument Racks with 358 MIDI files at the ready to unleash the fury. WAV, Apple and Rex formats included.
All the loops and sample patches have been categorised and labelled according to instrument type as well as key coded. Furthermore variations ranging from dry unaffected, effected and evolving have been captured by means of on-board sequencing along with real time parameter manipulation. Loops range from 2 to up to 32 bars in length depending on the level of expression captured.
MIDI parts corresponding to the loops have been placed in a sub-folder for convenience and ease of access.
The MIDI files have been categorised under “Classic & Techy”, “Deep & Funky” and “Minimal & Hypnotic” but of course, this is only a rough guide and the resultant outcome is very much dependent on the instruments and patches you choose to partner them with. Many of the files feature both straight and swung versions for greater flexibility. Also included are 22 bonus MIDI grove templates which you can use to apply your own swing to taste.
The majority of the 358 MIDI loops were programmed in 303 step sequencer fashion and then converted to MIDI ensuring the correct note lengths, slides and accents were preserved. The included instruments and patches, will play the MIDI true to the original 303. The note velocities have also been optimised for reliable playing of any other MIDI bass instrument including soft synths such as ABL2 by Audiorealism and Phoscyon by d16 as well as hardware synths such as the Ladyada XoX Box and Cyclone TT303.
Please note that the MIDI from our 5Pin Media “MF – Bass Line” product will work correctly with the “Bass Line – The Sequel” patches as the Low and High Velocity values fall within range. Likewise the MIDI from this pack will play the “MF – Bass Line” patches correctly as intended
As a bonus we have also included 5 Drum Kits comprising 44 Loops.
Please note that most of the drum parts featured in the demo track are NOT included in the pack. They were taken from our MIDI Focus – Modern House Beats pack also available here on Loopmasters.
Once again the flexibility of MIDI combined with exceptional sounds lies at the heart of this library giving you, the producer, the freedom to take your productions in whichever creative direction you choose.
Setting a new standard in MIDI based sampleware – 5Pin Media.

Thought your days of experimenting with Acid were over, well think again. We’ve delved deep and dark into the Oldskool Acid sound creating a collection of Acid House loops that would sit proud in any old Warehouse rave. Recently the world was re-introduced to the Acid House scene and it sounds just as squelchy, twisted and mind altering the second time round so Zenhiser had no choice but to document, refresh and rebuild the classic TB303 sound from the ground up. Taking inspiration from the classics of 1987 – 1989 “Oldskool Acid” delivers a basement sized pack of acid loops including plucky basslines, squelchy synth loops, techno fuelled saw lines, mind altering square pushing and some extra long stems to let filters and resonance shine.
We haven’t cut any corners with this sample pack, we’ve gone back to where everything started, used the classic equipment from the late 80’s and supplied so many different acid lines your brain will probably be fried before even listening to the first 303 loop. As per always, info and bpm information is supplied with every file name, mastering is second to none and all you have to do is drop these samples in your favourite DAW for instant sonic trips.
Please tread carefully with this pack as you may induce thought provoking emotions and twisted psychedelic visuals by looping any of these samples. We recommend informing a friend, family member or neighbour that you have just bought “Oldskool Acid” just in case you are not seen leaving the studio for the next 72 hours. Happy tripping, our music friends!

Loopmasters proudly present Three Zero Three – the definitive analogue acid odyssey, featuring the legendary 303 synthesizer and its many incarnations and clones. With 100% Royalty-Free Loops, Hits and incredibly detailed Multi-sampled instruments – it’s time to head back to the Hacienda, and feel the Bassline bubble!
The pivotal sound in generations of tracks, the unintended genius of the 303 was exactly that – a machine built to accompany musicians with a solid, electronic programmable bassline. Fast-forward 10 years and every House track across the globe had the `acid’ sound – undulating and warping, with a liquid, metamorphic sound like no other. The bassline monosynth built a devoted following – so much so, a number of clones and emulations were produced. We extracted dangerous amounts of acid from the following analogue machines: Stock 303, Borg Modified 303 and four more more incredible hardware clones.
With over 550 Loops, sampled direct from the machines themselves –you have a collection of iconic Leads, Hooks and Basslines key labelled for instant melodic cohesion! We have provided clean versions of Loops – giving you the flexibility to process the sounds yourself, but we have also added effected versions of our favourites, which can be dropped straight into your production but also to demonstrate how favourably that classic acid sound takes to being mangled and morphed! Many of the Loops feature a number of variations, including filter sweeps, chops, risers and good old-fashioned knob twiddling. Each FX Loop has been crafted in-house, sampling through a vintage hardware sampler drum machine, with lush EQs from a vintage Mixing Desks, and processing through subtle delays, distortions and sidechains.
The multi-sampled instruments have been painstakingly recorded, edited and patched for instant playability and spark in your daw. Each multi-sampled instrument has every note sampled from the low depths of 30Hz to the sonic highs, with each instrument set at different envelope, filter modulation settings. 8 303 Instruments are amongst them, which can subsequently be played polyphonically for the first time!
You’ll find the perfect acid sound for your tracks with over 200 One Hit samples – featuring Octave Slides, Individual Synth Hits, Note Bends and some chunky Percussion. Each of these samples has been crafted into sampler patches for your favourite daw – ready to play across your keyboard out of the box!
If you’re making Techno, House, Breaks, EDM, Rave or Old School influenced music – Three Zero Three is the ideal tonic with Loops at between 125-138BPM.
In detail expect to find 1.6GB of content with 1324 individual 24 Bit WAV samples! 564 Loops are included with 178 Loops at 125BPM [109 Clean Loops and 69 FX Loops], 237 Loops at 128BPM [ 153 Clean Loops and 84 FX Loops], 149 Loops at 138BPM [107 Clean Loops and 42 FX Loops]. 760 One Hits are included with 135 Synth One Hits, 35 Octave Slides, 26 Percussion Hits and 16 Note slides. 13 Multisampled Instruments are included [8 303 and 5 Clone instruments] with 548 individual notes, as well as 614 Rex2 Loops. 152 Software sampler patches are included with presets for NNXT, Halion, Kontakt, Sfz and Exs24. Analogue Acid House and Techno brought to you by Soul Rush Records.
Chicago Acid House lovers who are fascinated and curious by the production styles of the mid 80s and their pre-DAW production techniques need this pack! All drum and synth parts were recorded live, automated and humanised utilising techniques on the exact hardware pioneered by producers in the Acid House era. This pack was created by working with computers as minimally as possible instead focusing on analogue production. In this pack we give you access to original and unique acid sounds that are notoriously hard to recreate authentically when limited to using only digital or VST synthesisers.
There is also a treasure trove of original and unique vocal .wavs for you to play with via the skills of Mike Russell, a well-respected Blues & Soul singer / guitarist from Washington D.C.
The seminal genre of Acid House was built using drum machines and synthesizers from
Japanese manufactures. Interestingly, these synthesizers where initially seen as a failure in the US market at their time of release; although sounding very unique, these synthesizers sounded nothing like the instruments they were supposed to replace. A prime example of one of these synthesizers is the Roland TB-303, which was designed to sound like a bass guitar player and was intended for guitar players to play along with but instead made a “squelching” sound.
Released in 1981, it was a while before the experimental Chicago DJs picked it up some 30 years later, but when they did, the 303 turned an almost forgotten sound into a phenomenon that lives on to this day. By the late 80s, this Acid House sound from Chicago, which relied heavily on the 303, spread to Europe. Meanwhile, DJs in Detroit started evolving the acid house sound into faster, darker, and more experimental music. In the dawn of the 90s, this sound became known as Techno. Continue this tradition today by using the Soul Rush Analogue Acid House and Techno pack for that authentic Acid sound.
The acid synth loops in this pack were sequenced using the midi sequencer within the synth itself. This is famously awkward to use but delivers an unmatchable sound that is made by the note length, slides, and accents programmed into the sequence to create a raw and authentic analog acid sound, which is heavily desired and difficult to recreate.
Each instrument was recorded through the analog mixing desk before the signal was set to the DAW to record the audio. This gives the option to overdrive the signal using the channel gain on the desk, which is an old school trick used heavily in acid tracks back in the day.
Keeping in tradition to the old school way, a selection of the FX sounds were created from recording household objects including an iron anchor, coins, stationary and additionally, field recordings from an airport.
Vocalist Mike Russell has many releases under his belt dating back to the 1970s including
“Black Woman” recorded by Grammy nominated Gloria Taylor and years of world tours under his own name. He now runs the Black Heritage Orchestra based in Berlin with singer MFA KERA whose tracks have featured in the Top 10 European World Music charts. Producer Aaron Beattie AKA Aezron, a Berlin based producer and DJ is influenced by sounds from across the full spectrum of electronic music. He was brought up around the UK rave scene and has played a broad spectrum of events including illegal warehouse parties, world war two bunkers and some of the UKs premier night clubs. As a producer he has a degree in Sound Engineering and releases on various labels including Groove Digital Records and forthcoming on Voidance Records.
The VIBES series return with Acid House – a thumping squelchy trip back to the warehouses of 1988. Expect 303 sequences, pitched down vocals and historic pounding drums to light up your yellow smiley face all 100% royalty free!
Acid House is probably the most iconic era and crossing point for today’s modern dance music. Growing out of Chicago in the late 1980’s, defined by its minimalist approach, repetitive beats, squelchy bass line and often some trippy detuned vocals snippets or sampled stabs. The Main weapons of choice for these sonic pioneers included the then market flops, Roland 909 Drum Machine and The TB 303 Bassline often picked up really cheap second hand as they were originally discarded by their peers for not sounding like real instruments. Used and abused the retired machines were adopted by a new breed of bedroom producers who took the machines to levels not even the inventors could of predicted and the birth of Acid House was born.
Throwing shapes across Wav loops, one-shots, sampler patches, MIDI and Rex2 files, you’ll find punchy drums, groovy basses, uplifting synths, vocals FX adding up to over 1gb of content. Expect to hear the real deal classic machines a whole lot of knob twiddling and on-point programming, the only thing not included is the sweat dripping Rave tent.
With loops rocking out at 124bpm, this collection works perfectly for its named genre, whilst elements can also be used in House, Tech House, Acid Techno, Techno and other dancefloor genres.
In detail, expect to find 1.13 GB of content, with each Wav recorded at 24Bit & 44.1KHZ. 160 Loops are broken down as 56 Drum Part Loops, 24 Moog Bass Loops, 24 SH101 Bass Loops, 22 303 Bass Loops, 20 Full Drum Loops, 9 Synth Loops and 5 Vocal Loops. 187 One-Shots are broken down as 32 Drum Hits, 20 Synth Multis, 19 Vocal Hits & Phrases, 18 Bass Multis, 13 Synth Hits and 9 Fx. Sample Module – Adding Width to Tambourines with Panning & Track Delay
Module 1 – Mixdown Discussion In this first module, Simon talks about the nature of the mixdown, explaining the most important considerations and obstacles a producer faces, including recommendations on software and hardware to rectify them. He then gives his top mixing tips, to assist in clarifying the key aims of the process and help fellow producers achieve the primary objectives. Lesson 1 – The Mixing Process & Environment – 14.15 Lesson 2 – Mixing Top Tips – 19.25
Module 2 – Kick Drum Simon begins looking at the all important Kick Drum, focussing on the effects processing initially, to make sure the sound is full bodied and clear, and then bouncing down the stem to help keep CPU usage low. He then moves onto the other kick tracks, which are once again balanced, treated with effects and then flattened to new audio files. Lesson 1 – Main Kick Warmth & Precision – 21.28 Lesson 2 – Additional Kick and Boom Kick – 19.25
Module 3 – Making the Loops Play Nice! These lessons address the main loops that combine with the kick to form the groove of the track, showing the techniques used to make them ‘team players’. Module 4 – Mixing the Snares and Claps Simon moves on to the other main drum components, those being the snares and claps, paying close attention to the frequencies and alignment of each, to provide all the missing elements to the driving groove and add subtle variation in each bar. Lesson 1 – Processing the Snare – 13.38 Lesson 2 – Working on the Claps – 12.23
Module 5 – Tambourines and Rides By combining artful EQ and track panning with delay, Simon blends together the high frequency rhythms into a coherent, energetic layer that sits comfortably on top of the mix, whilst adding some pleasing stereo information to the track. Lesson 1 – EQ & Stereo Spread – 17.31
Module 6 – Finding Space for Percussion A reminder of the way the 2 conga sounds are placed in the track, with a look at the different automation on each, with regard to panning and send effect routing. Lesson 1 – Conga Treatment – 11.08
Module 7 – Bassloop EQ & Sidechain The first module looking at one of the toughest jobs of the mixing process; getting the bottom end right! Simon starts by focussing on the syncopated bass loop, showing the various effects used to bring it out in the mix and remove unnecessary elements, then moves on to level handling by means of compression and automation. Lesson 1 – EQ, Saturation and more – 11.44 Lesson 2 – Level Sidechain and Automation – 7.04
Module 8 – Sub Bass in a Balanced Rhythm Section A look at the sub bass track, making sure its content has the relevant frequencies and amount of gain, so that it provides the necessary fatness without treading on the toes of the other kick and bass elements and balancing nicely with the drums and percussion. Lesson 1 – Working on the Sub Bass – 16.09
Module 9 – Pads, Strings and Novachord Lead Simon moves through the first of the main melodic parts, flattening then forensically analysing the levels and frequencies, making changes to devices and adding automation when required, to ensure all parts are fulfilling their required roles. Lesson 1 – Pads – 9.22 Lesson 2 – Strings – 8.29 Lesson 3 – Novachord – 6.33
Module 10 – Making the Synth Leads sing The synth leads are treated with the same precision and care as the previous melodic parts, paying particular attention to compression and EQ, whilst also adding stereo enhancement via effects return channels. Lesson 1 – Oberheim 1 – 15.31 Lesson 2 – Oberheim 2 – 6.52 Lesson 3 – Bouncing Lead Synth – 16.02
Module 11 – Chords Unity and Placement The final group of melodic instruments is mixed, firstly looking at the chord stabs, which are balanced, EQ’d and compressed, as well as additional panning automation applied, before moving on to the atmospheric dub chord. Lesson 1 – Stabs – 13.25 Lesson 2 – Dub Chord – 8.49
Module 12 – Vocals Groove Layering A detailed lesson on EQ treatment of the vocal parts, ensuring that they contribute exactly the right pitches into the mix to help them sing and sit as a perfect additional groove layer for the rhythms. Lesson 1 – EQing the Vocals – 14.13
Module 13 – Effects Sweeps – A family affair The various noise sweeps and transitional elements are mixed, balancing, EQing, compressing and automating them with the same due diligence. Lesson 1 – Working on FX – 12.26
Module 14 – Ambient Effects – Time & Place Simon carefully balances the vinyl crackle and ambient vocals to help them sit correctly in the mix and stereo field, automating levels so that they tell a story and add the necessary real world components to the track. Lesson 1 – Mixing the Ambient FX – 16.09
Module 15 – Bus Mixing – New Perspectives How to create Mix Buses for all the main sound groups, to allow a smaller group of individual faders purely for adjusting of levels. Lesson 1 – Mix Bus Creation – 15.16
Module 16 – Effects Returns – Attention to Detail As with all other channels, the effects returns require the same scrupulous attention to detail, making sure no unnecessary frequencies or sonic artefacts are being added to the mix. Lesson 1 – Mixing the Effects Returns – 29.06
Module 17 – Final Balancing – References and Blind Mixing Reference tracks are added to the project to serve as comparisons and help calibrate the ear, then the bus mix channels are used to rebalance the master, making absolutely sure the levels of each of the main components is sitting perfectly in the mix. Lesson 1 – Adding Reference Tracks – 10.13 Lesson 2 – Rebalancing the Master – 13.08
Module 18 – Final Tweaks 1 The last minor changes are made to the parts in the track, working first through the groove elements, with small automation adjustments here and there, as well as additional EQ, and then the master channel, to help maintain a good level balance between breakdowns and drops. Lesson 1 – Rhythms & Master Automation & EQ – 13.10 Lesson 2 – Melodies Automation – 11.07
Module 19 – Final Tweaks 2 Simon completes the mix by making some final adjustments to level automation, making sure the various leads and melodic accompaniment is all playing nicely, then exporting the final mix as an audio file.
