StereoScope Pro

Blue Cat’s StereoScope Pro is a real time stereo field analyzer with multiple views and MIDI/automation output capabilities. It is a powerful help to analyze how the audio signal is spread in the stereo field, and you can easily detect potential phase and mono compatibilities issues.

Main Features:

  • Real time stereo image analyzer.
  • Three detailed views: stereo image, “stereogram” (evolution of the image over time) and output parameters.
  • Animated zoom for all views.
  • Precise measurement capabilities.
  • 3D waterfall view with full 3D control.
  • solid or wireframe 3D surface display.
  • Integrated correlation meter.
  • Instant, peak and average stereo image curves display.
  • Easy phase cancelation and mono compatibility issues detection.
  • Save the curves for easy A/B comparison.
  • Opacity control for the user interface.
  • Custom absolute and relative threshold control.

The stereo analysis can be controlled in details, and the precise measurements capabilities combined with the zoomable displays let you monitor what is exactly happening.

Choose your preferred view for your needs: real time stereo field display, evolution of the stereo image over time (2D or 3D) or output parameters that explicitly describe the average position and extent of the audio signal in the stereo field. The 3D waterfall view lets you see in details from your preferred viewpoint the evolution of the stereo image over time.

The four memory slots let you store any curve in memory: it helps you make comparisons between several tracks or effects setup very easily. You can compare your mix with other commercial hits!

Like our other professional analysis tools, the output parameters of this plug-in can be used to control other effects in real time: the generated automation envelopes or MIDI CC messages include the minimum and maximum positions in the stereo field and the perceived position based on the audio energy spread in the stereo image.

Thanks to Blue Cat’s skinning language support and the included window opacity management feature, you can adapt the plug-in user interface to your personal needs and enhance your workflow: work faster and more efficiently.

EXPOSE 2

Please Note: An upgrade is also available for previous owners of EXPOSE 1.

Release Your Music with Confidence

EXPOSE 2 is an audio quality control application that helps you identify issues with your music.

So many tracks get distributed with a poor EQ balance, true peak clipping, over-compression, phase issues, and more. Mastering the Mix wants you to catch these issues before it’s too late. With EXPOSE 2, you can deliver the best listening experience and release your music with confidence.

How Will EXPOSE Transform Your Music Productions?

  • Overview – Drop your music into EXPOSE to identify any technical issues before releasing it to the world.
  • Problem Solved – So many tracks get distributed with a poor EQ balance, true peak clipping, over-compression, phase issues, and more. It takes 3 seconds to identify these issues in EXPOSE before it’s too late.
  • Get Started – Open EXPOSE (it’s a standalone app, so you won’t need a DAW) then drag and drop your music into it. Select the preset based on your distribution method (streaming, club, CD, etc). The analysis feedback gives you specific feedback on how to resolve the issues and optimize your music for release within your DAW.
  • Highlight 1 – Helps you hit your technical goals, whether you’re aiming for a super-loud club master, or trying to optimize your music to sound great on streaming sites.
  • Highlight 2 – See how the average tonal balance of your song compares to your reference track, or our genre-specific presets. All of which were created using sonic profiles from commercially successful tracks.

How to use EXPOSE 2 in 6 Simple Steps

1. Load A Track – Open the application and drag your audio onto the dashboard.

2. Select A Preset – Select where your audio will be heard at the top, such as Spotify, Youtube, CD etc. Then select your tonal balance profile by loading a reference track or choosing from the presets.

3. Readings – The four sections give you detailed information about the loudness, peaks, stereo/phase information, and dynamic range of your audio. You can create a loop to see the readings of specific sections of your song.

4. Identify Issues – If EXPOSE detects that issues would arise, the section icon will turn red. Click on the section icon to isolate the issues on the waveform to see the exact location of the issues. The analysis feedback will give you specific guidance to help you hit your technical goals, whether you’re aiming for a super-loud master, or trying to optimize your music to sound great on streaming sites.

5. Check Your Tonal Balance – Compare EQ shows how your average tonal balance compares to your imported reference track. Or you can select a genre-specific preset, all of which were created using sonic profiles from commercially successful tracks. Anything within ±3dB represents a very similar tonal balance. Anything greater than ±6dB would represent a considerable difference in tonal balance and you may wish to make adjustments.

6. Loudness Match and Playback – You can click the play icon or hit the spacebar to preview the audio. Click Loudness Match to normalize all audio to the same perceived volume for unbiased comparison.

MAIN FEATURES

  • Compare EQ shows how your average tonal balance compares to your imported reference track. Or you can select a genre-specific preset, all of which were created using sonic profiles from commercially successful tracks. This will allow you to check that your music aligns with your sonic goals and isn’t too muddy, dull, thin, or harsh before releasing.
  • Loudness Match normalizes the playback of all tracks in EXPOSE using a LUFS algorithm. The human ear perceives louder music to have a fuller bass and more clarity in the high frequencies. Loudness matching removes this bias and enables you to make more informed decisions for your music.
  • Analysis Feedback gives you specific guidance on how to adjust your audio to get the sound you’re looking for. This helps you hit your technical goals, whether you’re aiming for a super-loud club master, or trying to optimize your music to sound great on streaming sites. (27 presets, and 5 user preset slots)
  • User Interface with user experience and workflow improvements.
  • Get the technical details of your track in seconds. (LUFS Integrated, Short-term, decibels true-peak, left-right heat map, phase heat map, dynamic range, loudness range)
  • When issues have been detected the readouts and waveform are highlighted to show you exactly where the issue is.
  • Measurements Include:
    • Integrated LUFS
    • Short Term LUFS
    • Decibels True Peak (16X Oversampling)
    • Sample Peak
    • Left / Right heat map
    • Correlation heat map
    • Short Term Dynamic Range
    • Loudness Range

Auto-Key

Auto-Key is an automatic key and scale detection plug-in, designed to enhance your Auto-Tune workflow and save valuable time in the studio.

Choosing the correct key and scale for your music is an essential part of effective pitch correction, and Auto-Key makes this quick and easy. It’s also useful for choosing samples and loops that match the key of your project.

Place Auto-Key on a track to analyze your music in real time, or upload an audio file for faster than real-time analysis. It then automatically detects and displays the key and scale of your music, as well as the tuning reference frequency. The onscreen keyboard also lights up to show detected pitches.

Click the “Send to Auto-Tune” button, and compatible versions of Anatare’s Auto-Tune are automatically updated with the correct key and scale settings.

Even if you already know the key and scale of your music, Auto-Key will streamline your workflow by allowing you to conveniently set the key and scale for multiple instances of Auto-Tune with a single click.

Key and Scale Detection

Auto-Key makes it quick and easy to find the key and scale of your music. Just place it on an instrument track or master bus and begin playback.

Auto-Key will analyze the audio in real time and display the key and scale after a few seconds of playback analysis. You can also upload an audio file to analyze an entire song in seconds.

In addition to key and scale, Auto-Key also tells you the reference frequency of your music. Most modern music is tuned so that A is equal to 440 Hz, but this is not always the case. If your music or samples are tuned to a different reference frequency, Auto-Key will show you what it is, so you can make the necessary adjustments when applying pitch correction or selecting samples.

Chorddetector

Chorddetector is an MP3/WAV-player with an integrated chord detection engine. As simple as that.

Some people have perfect pitch. For them, transcribing the chords of a song is just as easy as writing down the lyrics. For the rest of us, life is way more difficult. Fortunately, now you can get this cool piece of software to help you with the task.

Of course, what is going on under the hood is mighty complicated but all you need to do is load the song whose chords you are interested in, press play, and off you go.

Chords will be displayed in realtime, so you can play along live with your instrument.

All DDMF plugins come both in 32 and 64 bit format, which means they will run without issues in the ever increasing number of 64 bit digital audio workstations. To make a long story short, a 64 bit program can address vastly more memory space than a 32 bit program (where the limit is 4 Gigabyte), so whenever you can, you should use a 64 bit host.

What are the system requirements?

There are no “hard” requirements in terms of processing power or memory.

All reasonably recent PCs or (Intel) Macs should have plenty of power to handle the highly optimized DDMF effects with ease.

PowerPC Macs are not supported anymore

Concerning operating systems, Windows XP or higher is required. On the Mac side, DDMF is slowly shifting from 10.5 to 10.6 as a minimum requirement.

For the plugins you need a host (a DAW or a digital audio workstation). Specifically, a VST host on Windows, a VST or AU host on Mac or ProTools (8 or higher) on Windows or Mac.

FreqAnalyst Pro

Blue Cat’s FreqAnalyst Pro is a real time spectrum analyzer with advanced functionalities. It uses the same smooth algorithms as its little brother (Blue Cat’s FreqAnalyst free plug-in): it has been designed to provide extreme smoothness and high resolution for both time and frequency.

Main Features:

  • Mono, stereo or mid/side real time spectrum analyzer.
  • Total control over the analysis parameters, with slope and offset correction.
  • Smart interpolation algorithm for extreme display smoothness.
  • Spectrum and spectrogram views.
  • Animated zoom for all displays.
  • Precise measurement capabilities, with note info display.
  • 3D waterfall view with full 3D control.
  • Solid or wireframe 3D surface display.
  • Instant, peak and average curves display for each channel.
  • Save the curves for easy A/B comparison.
  • Opacity control for the user interface.
  • Custom absolute and relative threshold control.

The frequency analysis can be fine tuned in details: manage its precision and rate, apply an offset or slope to the measured spectrum. Two thresholding systems are available, and the time response can be changed thanks to the attack and release parameters. Three modes are offered for each channel: instant, peak or average response can be displayed on the same graph. Zooming capabilities and coordinates display let you exactly measure the characteristics of the spectrum.

The four memory slots let you store any curve in memory: it helps you make comparisons between several tracks or effects setup very easily.

A spectrogram view has been added so that you can monitor the evolution of the spectrum over time either in 2D or 3D (3D waterfall mode). All channels are of course available in this view, with exact coordinates display and zooming capabilities.

Like many of our other professional analysis tools, this plug-in also provides output parameters that you can use to control other effects in real time: the generated automation envelopes or MIDI CC messages include the minimum and maximum frequencies and the energy center of the spectrum, expressed in Hertz or as MIDI note value. With the transformation parameters (offset, amount and reverse), you can customize the generation of these parameters and monitor the modifications on the value graphs. Check the DP Meter Pro Tutorials to see how to use this capability within your favorite host.

Thanks to this unique functionality, you can now control any effect with the pitch of the audio signal: imagine a filter on an instrument controlled by the pitch of another instrument, compression depending on the pitch of the signal… Anything is possible.

Thanks to Blue Cat’s skinning language support and the included window opacity management feature, you can adapt the plug-in user interface to your personal needs and enhance your workflow.
