30. Doepfer A-199 Spring Reverb Module

- Simulée électroniquement au moyen de 3 ressorts hélicoïdaux
- Systèmes de réverbération à ressorts pour un son très caractéristique qui est basé sur (l’insuffisance) des propriétés mécaniques des ressorts comme les délais de signaux, les résonances sonores, la plage de fréquence limitée, le comportement de l’effet Larsen, la sensibilité aux chocs mécaniques et bien d’autres
- Le système des 3 ressorts utilisés dans le A-199 assure une réverbération « dense » en raison des différentes propriétés des 3 ressorts
- Le A-199 implique certaines caractéristiques particulières qui ne sont pas évidentes pour les unités de réverbération à ressort (le signal de réverbération peut être renvoyé à l’ entrée à l’aide de la commande renvoi “feedback”). Même une auto-oscillation des ressorts semblables à l’auto-oscillation de filtres est possible.
- La boucle de feedback peut être connectée à des modules externes (VCA, VCF, phaser, décalage de fréquence, vocodeur, distorsion / Waveshaper, modulateur en anneau et autres)
- Dans ce cas, la sortie de la réverbération de l’ A-199 est reliée à l’entrée du module externe et la sortie du module externe est réinjectée dans l’entrée du A-199
- Ce trajet de signal comporte un interrupteur qui interrompt la boucle de rétroaction interne dès qu’une fiche est insérée
- Une autre caractéristique est le contrôle de l’accentuation. Cela permet le réglage de l’accentuation des fréquences moyennes (autour de 2 kHz)
