1. STA Effects

STA Effects

STA Delay enriched the second generation collection. The bundle also contains STA Chorus that adds your instruments a little warmth and tickling vibe! Extra punch, meat, juice… Call it what you want, but STA Flanger gives it to you. If your sound is not spacey enough, take it to the universe with STA Phaser! And last but not least – STA Enhancer will make your mixes beautiful and bright. But the main effect that gives the STAs their character is the STA Preamp. The Tube Heart STA (Summing Tube Amplifier) uses two signal paths, one is processed by modulation or spectral change and the other is not processed. These two signals are mixed on a vacuum tube. That gives “ordinary” effects like Flanger or Phaser, really unique and warm character. The valve saturation colour depends on the Mode selection. Changing the type of the tube circuit, affects the tube working point and frequency response. 5 valve circuit modes available

  • P – Presence – the higher amount of mid-high frequencies allows better cutting through the mix.
  • V – Vintage – has smoother highs and more even harmonics.
  • B – Brown – has almost flat response with only light high frequencies roll off and nice higher harmonics punch.
  • W – White – has higher amount of higher frequencies and the ratio between the even and odd harmonics is balanced.
  • L – LoFi – contains less low and high frequencies.

We are making our plugins as real as possible with all the natural analog feeling and side effects. There is some low frequency noise in some tube modes. It is a natural result of the tube configuration we are using in STA.

2. FireCobra

FireCobra

FireCobra combines the accuracy of the digital world with the live randomness of the analogue. Behind its simple user interface, there’s more technology than you’d expect.

FireCobra intelligently analyses the audio signal and makes it sound punchier, more powerful and better in general. It makes the mixes better with nearly no time wasted on setting it up.

Just put it on every track you’d like to enhance and set how much. Quick and easy and sounds unbelievable.

Intensify Your Audio Materials

Intensify is the main feature algorithm FireCobra. It intelligently analyzes the input audio and makes the output sound tighter and fuller.

It brings up the drowned and overheard elements that are hard to perceive and attenuates elements, which tend to kill and bury the others. And the best thing is that all it takes is a single knob!

Give it a Smack

The real punch is what you need. Inspired by rare analogue devices the Smack feature creates unique and pleasant harmonic distortion. It makes the audio sound rather dirtier but way more authentic and audible in the mix.

Analogize Your Tracks

The Analogize algorithm is based on a simulation of classic analogue saturation units. Most audio signals benefit from a bit of the analogue warm valve mojo.

CPU-Friendly -Use on Multiple Tracks

Even though the contemporary computers’ performance almost reaches the sky there’s always need to administer it wisely. FireCobra is a highly optimized unit designed to take the most from your CPU and exploit the newest AVX2 and AVX512 architectures.

Realistic 3D Yet Flexible GUI

Photorealistic graphic user interface of the plugin gives you the feeling you are touching the real hardware. But it easily adapts to your needs. You can always drag the arrow in the bottom right corner to change its size – make it smaller to save the valuable screen space, or enlarge it to make it easier to use.

Ridiculously Simple to Use

In most cases, all you need is the DRY/WET knob. Increase its value to get more enhancement and vice versa. Always keep in mind that sometimes less is better and if every track in your mix will be too powerful, the mix will become crowded. But that shouldn’t stop you from experimenting and tweaking your sound the way you wish.

64-bit Audio Quality at ANY Sampling Rate

The plugin provides the maximum audio quality you can get. It uses 64-bit audio processing and can handle any sampling rate. 192 kHz or even higher

4. Little Foot

Little Foot

Contrary to what the name suggests, Little Foot is only small in terms of CPU usage and focus.

The single-minded son of Boz’ Sasquatch 2 Kick Machine, it has just one job to do and it does it extremely well—that’s to put hair on your kick drum.

Little Foot takes sub-bass drops, a time-honored studio technique, refines and streamlines it, enabling you to seamlessly blend a tunable low-frequency sine wave with a kick drum for added power, punch, and deep low end—in one simple, straightforward GUI.

Not just for extreme lows, in these days of earbuds and iPhone speakers, you might want to bring out an octave above the fundamental in order for kick to be heard on tiny speakers. Little Foot can help you there, like no EQ can.

Boz Digital Labs Little Foot—Just the Facts:

  • No-manuals-necessary layout
  • Instantly add punch and body to your kick drum
  • Easily go from natural enhancement to extreme sustain
  • Tune your kick drum to match the key of the song
  • No time-consuming scrolling through samples, no flams, no phase issues
  • Very low CPU usage

Boz Digital Labs Little Foot—Cracking the Code

As every professional mix engineer knows beyond any doubt, you can’t EQ what isn’t there. If a producer tracked a drum kit using a 20″ kick drum with a single-ply resonant head, there’s not going to be very much going on in the sub frequencies. An old trick in the studios to bring out sub frequencies of a kick drum was not EQ, but rather to gate a low-frequency sine wave tuned to the drum’s fundamental to be triggered by the kick and sent to another channel for blending purposes. The combination of natural kick and low-frequency fundamental added “Oomph,” as Boz Digital calls it, without crazy boosts in EQ to eat up headroom.

The standard procedure for sub-bass drops is a tad complicated involving a CPU-hungry virtual instrument channel, aux channel, sidechain gating, busing, pre-fader sends to hear the effect in solo, high-pass filtering, and so forth.

With Little Foot, you get the effect without having to tweak noise gates for attack, hold, and release to get the proper sustain; no going back and forth between sine wave track and kick to check results; and no need for additional plug-ins to tune the sine wave or modify its envelope.

Little Foot lets you do all of that with one simple interface, plus it enables you to individually tune, add sustain, and level-control the “Oomph” signal, and treat the original kick for resonance (which is where the money is on drums). With Little Foot, all you have to do is drop it on your kick drum track and adjust to taste.

Little Foot—Big Easy

Being dedicated to kick drum enhancement greatly simplifies the user interface of Little Foot. Instead of trying to be all things to all low-frequency instruments, Little Foot gives you exactly what you need to craft your kick drum quickly and effectively.

Controls in the Oomph section include Frequency, Sustain, Threshold, and Level. Simply select the sub-harmonic frequency you wish to add, how long it will sustain (short for punch, long for fun), set the threshold to determine when it will kick in (see what we did there?), and set its level (less is more).

The Dry section alongside Oomph is where you dial in the natural sound. It gives you a variable high-pass filter to make room for the sub-drop; a resonance knob that lets you boost slightly above the corner frequency of the HP filter, which prevents the sound from thinning out while eliminating unneeded lows; and finally, a level control to dial in how much dry kick you need.

On the far right of Little Foot is an In/Out level meter and a main level slider in case you get carried away. Beneath these controls is a Reset button in case you lose perspective, and an “About” button, in case you want to meet your maker . . .

Nothing puts the fun back into fundamentals like Little Foot. Download a copy today and get down . . . all the way down.

5. IGNITE

IGNITE

IGNITE

Ignite mode allows you to dial in rich harmonic distortion in a dynamic way based on the input signal. Ignite can increase the perceived loudness, power and presence of a channel without the pumping effects of a compressor.

More Features:

  • Mid/Side, Left & Right Functionality

  • Easy to set up. Gives you total control with a user friendly interface. Interactive tool tips can also be activated for even more information.

This product is an individual plugin related to the Parent Plugin: Animate

6. Drum Mixing Bundle

Drum Mixing Bundle

The Drum Mixing Bundle contains drumatom² (including drumatom Player which is now a free companion plug-in) and Beatformer.

Accusonus decided to bundle these 2 products together after various feedback notes was received from different mixing engineers. They use Beatformer for mixing/buss processing on real drums besides purely electronic drum kits.

drumatom² – Reduce or eliminate drum bleed

Microphone bleed is the number one problem for any engineer who regularly records drums. It’s the biggest obstacle between producers and the sound of their dreams. Drumatom enables engineers to reduce or completely eliminate drum bleed, in a way that no other hardware or software can do.

For example, have you ever wished you could remove hihat leakage from the snare track? You can do that with Drumatom, not only during pauses but during exact snare hits as well.

Drumatom also allows for flawless leakage reduction in all close microphones, resulting in a natural and open sound. Even a subtle amount of the “Drumatom effect” can free up considerable amounts of headroom for the rest of your tracks.

In addition, by removing leakage from the drum channels you can experiment with your mixing tools (EQs, Compressors, etc) without limitations, until you create the drum sound of your dreams!

drumatom² is a standalone application. With every purchase, you get drumatom² Player, a companion Virtual Instrument Plug-In that allows playback and drum bleed adjustment of drumatom² processed groups (.dls) inside DAWs, for free.

  • Fix poorly recorded drums
  • Polish your sound by performing deeper individual processing on drum tracks.
  • Create headroom for the rest of your mix
  • Achieve authentic results
  • Preserve low-level signals, such as ghost notes in a snare track
  • Build your unique sound signature

Beatformer – Music Beat Sculpting

7. MBassador

MBassador

Modern mixes crave a distinctive tight bass spectrum. MBassador enhances your existing bass content and produces subbass spectrum as well. Pristine musical results within a few clicks.

Make your Bass Audible on Low-End Speakers

Not many people have the access to the studio equipment we use when mixing. That’s especially true when it comes to reproducing bass and subbass spectrum. The first module in MBassador lets you post-process the bass content so that it is stable and tight and contains higher harmonics, so that it is audible even when played on a cheap pair of headphones so many listeners use these days.

Create Deep Sub-Bass so People can Feel the Music

There’s nothing worse than playing your mix on a huge stage with subwoofers just to find out that it’s just not powerful and deep at all – because there’s no sub-bass content. The problem is, it’s almost impossible to actually record sub-bass, because not only it rarely exists in nature, most microphones are just unable to record it. But MBassador can generate it from your existing bass, in a tight precise and musical way.

8. Type A

Type A

Type A is a plugin inspired by a famous vintage tape encoder. The original unit was designed to be a noise reduction system for tape recording (encode stage) and playback (decode stage).

Type A emulates the encode stage, which was often misused as an enhancer, dynamically increasing the top end of a signal without introducing artefacts or altering the harmonic content. The results are similar to a dynamic EQ which adds presence and air to any track in a natural way.

FEATURES:

  • Vintage Enhancer
  • Multi-band Compressor with 4 Bands
  • Adjustable Unit Noise
  • Oversample up to 16x
  • Resizable Window
  • Preset system with randomizer

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

You can show/hide the drop-down panel by clicking on the arrow icon in the bottom left corner of the interface.

You’ll get access to:

  • Volume for each band
  • Compressor Attack and Release
  • Noise volume
  • VU-Meter source selector

HOW DOES IT WORK?

To limit the amount of noise generated by tape recording, early noise reduction systems used what’s called a multi-band compander (compressor/expander). The unit dynamically emphasizes the high frequencies during the encoding stage (recording to tape), so that during the decoding stage (playback from tape) the signal is attenuated, along with the typical tape noise. Type A emulates the encoding stage only.

The input signal is split into 4 bands (with the highest bands overlapping), dynamically compressed and then summed back with the dry signal. The amount of compression on each band is inversely proportional to the volume of the band. Quieter sounds get brighter while louder sounds remain almost unchanged.

This adds brightness and air without generating any new harmonic content or distortion, resulting in a more pleasant and natural enhancer compared to a typical exciter.

NOISE REDUCTION OR ENHANCER?

Introduced in 1966 with the Dolby A301 first, and then in 1970 with the Dolby 361 (with the CAT 22 card, in photos), the A-Type noise reduction was quickly misused and modded by engineers to enhance their recordings by using the encoding stage only.

The most common mod consists in disabling the two lower bands so that only the high-frequency portion of the signal is compressed, giving even more air to vocals.

This technique was labeled with many names like the Vocal Trick, Stretch Mod, Vocal Stressor, and even the “John Lennon mod”.

9. SigMod

SigMod

Instantly enhance the functionality of your plug-ins and DAW with eleven different signal modification units. Explore new creative possibilities and quickly add missing features.

Each module can easily be inserted, swapped and moved around making new options to correct, convert or tweak your audio.

With eleven single-process modules, SigMod contains many useful, creative functions which are unobtainable or otherwise difficult to engage. Combine these single-process modules in any order to design the precise routing you require. Auto-resizing keeps the signal flow and functionality clear at all times.

Full List of Modules:

  • Mid/Side
  • Protect
  • Mono
  • Switch
  • Delay
  • Phase
  • Trim
  • DC offset
  • Tap
  • Mute/Solo
  • Crossover

For Your Plugins

Add mid/side functionality to classic stereo compressor and EQ emulations, or get creative with mid/side delays, distortion and many other effects by inserting the mid/side encoder/decoder either side of any left/right plug-in instance.

Insert the Protect unit across your output bus and this safety module will automatically cut in to prevent bursts of noise or feedback howls due to system errors, saving both your nerves and your speakers.

Manual or auto reset options give you the level of protection you need.

Want to try some parallel processing? Drop in the Tap module and you are good to go. Use the Crossover module to split the highs from the lows to apply different effects to different frequency ranges – great for avoiding muddying up the low frequencies or getting creative with automation and sweep effects.

For Your Daw

Several of SigMod’s modules offer easy access to functionality which is either missing from certain DAWs, or at least complicated to access natively. Solo/mute or trim the left and right sides of a stereo signal independently, or easily flip the stereo image in one click. Quickly detect and correct DC offset to retain valuable headroom.

How does your mix sound in mono? Think about how many listeners will be using a phone or a DAB radio with one speaker – the Mono module switches your signal from stereo to mono in one click.

You can also check the phase relationship between your left and right channels with the Phase module.
