MXXXCore is a special licence, which includes only the basic building blocks. You will use MXXX as if you had the full licence, but not all processors will be available.

How to Get the Remaining Processors into MXXXCore

MXXXCore of course provides all of the modules MXXX does, but you need a licence to get the rest of them. For example, if you own MSpectralDynamics (or any bundle, which contains that plugin) then it will be enabled in MXXXCore as well. MXXXCore will not allow you to insert a processor you don’t own nor open a preset that uses it, and will tell you what you need to purchase in order to get it.

The new DeVerberate 3 — now based on Deep Learning

DeVerberate is a reverb reduction plug-in that can attenuate or boost the reverberation that is already present in recorded material. The new version includes an entirely new algorithm based on deep learning for fully automatic reverb reduction of recorded dialogue.

By training a neural network on thousands of high-quality voice recordings and a wide variety of acoustical surroundings, the artificial intelligence can automatically separate dialogue from reverb.

The reverb reduction algorithm from version 2 is included for music and other audio sources.

Both algorithms split the incoming audio into an estimation of the direct sound and the reverberated sound which can then be recombined freely. Additionally, a unique Early Reflections Filter that works in conjunction with the reverb suppression algorithms is included.

The Early Reflections Filter uses sophisticated statistical methods to estimate the so-called impulse response of the early reflections, which is then used to cancel out the effect of the early reflections.

Usage

With three different room size setups (small, medium, large), selectable filter on both early and late reflections, modulation, damping, diffusion, and much more, almost any kind of room can be simulated.

There is also a ducker included that uses the dry signal as a side-chain. Very useful to keep vocals or other solo instruments distinct even when they’re soaking wet. The 64 factory presets covers most of the Kleverb features.

• 1. Decay? OK! – Up to 25 seconds should give you enough time to figure out what your next pad chord should be.
• 2. Damp, diffuse, spread. – Shape your space with intuitive and clever controls for both small and big changes.
• 3. Too much guck? Duck! – Often used, seldom built in the reverb itself. A trick to clarify a reverb-drenched lead vocal or instrument. It lowers the reverb while the dry signal is active, and raises it in the pauses. Everybody gets happy!
• 4. Modulation salvation – Modulate the reverb to give it a little more life.

In 1971, in a New York City basement, Eventide Clockworks revolutionized the audio industry by creating the world’s first studio effects processor–the Instant Phaser and pro audio’s first digital device, the Digital Delay Line. Over the course of the following decade, Eventide would release the world’s first Harmonizer®, the H910, along with the other industry firsts: Omnipressor®, Instant Flanger, H949, and SP2016.

Instant Phaser Mk II

The Instant Phaser was the world’s first studio phaser and the first rack mount effects unit, period. Originally intended to make the painstaking task of tape flanging quick and easy, engineers and producers would use it for smooth, transparent modulation and pleasing stereo decorrelation. It used analogue all-pass filters to mimic the effect achieved by time delay resulting in a modulation effect all its own. Experience all of its analogue charm with the Instant Phaser Mk II plugin and add “Age” to taste.

Instant Flanger Mk II

The Instant Flanger utilized newfangled bucket brigade ICs for swept delay resulting in a ‘true’, time-based, emulation of tape flanging. Whereas the Instant Phaser offered several methods of controlling modulation, the Instant Flanger allowed engineers to combine these controls. H910 Harmonizer

The H910 Harmonizer was the world’s first digital effects unit. With its unique combinations of pitch shifting, feedback, modulation and delay, it was a huge hit across studios worldwide. Thickening snares, guitars and vocals are H910’s bread and butter, but robot sounds and gritty octaves are just as easily dialed in. The bundle includes H910 Dual.

SP2016 Reverb

In 1981, the SP2016 was released and was the world’s first programmable effects processor featuring ROM chips that “plugged in” under the hood making it possible to add new effects in the field. While it was not a Clockworks effects unit, the SP2016 earned its spot on this roster as it marks the opening chapter of modern Eventide effects processors, with the H9000 its current incarnation. The SP2016 Reverb plug-in includes modern and vintage versions of its signature Stereo Room, Room, and Hi-Density Plate.

• Room – Your basic no-nonsense, no-frills ambient “room.” It’s a mono effect with stereo outputs. The extreme Pre-Delay range makes it possible to use this effect for reverberant doubling and single echoes.

• Control the structure of the reverb by fine-tuning the controls – including PreDelay, Decay, Position and Diffusion. The EQ section allows for simple high and low filtering of the reverb with adjustable filter ranges. The low filter can be used to cut OR boost at the specified frequency.
• Boasts a variety of artist presets including some by Dave Pensado, Richard Devine, Joe Chiccarelli, Sasha, George Massenberg, The Butcher Bros., Buda and Grandz, and more.

H949 Harmonizer

In 1977, Eventide released the H949, standing on the shoulders of the H910 as the second in Eventide’s family of Harmonizers. It introduced a formal micro pitch-shifting mode, which is a great sound for lead guitar virtuosos. It also had the first Reverse delays and introduced a Random pitch mode, which works great as an automatic double-track for guitars and vocals. And, the H949 conquered the ‘glitch’ by using advanced autocorrelation techniques. The bundle includes H949 Dual.

Move Towards the Light

ShimmerVerb combines a massively lustrous reverb with parallel pitch shifters to add ethereal layers making any signal, well, “shimmer.” Oftentimes, producers would achieve the effect by using Eventide pitch-shifting hardware such as the H910, H949, or H3000 or other rack mount units in combination with a reverb. This production technique was popularized by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno on U2’s The Unforgettable Fire.

Now, this iconic sound has been refined and extended with a modern, unified interface that is great for adding dreamy ambiance to guitars, keys, synths, samples, and vocals. In typical Eventide fashion, features have been added such as the ability to infinitely feedback the signal, resulting in cascading reverbs that smear into oblivion. Feedback can be further fine-tuned by specifying which frequencies are fed back through the low/mid/high cross-over network. 

ShimmerVerb shines via its playable, performance-based parameters. THE RIBBON is an easy to program performance macro allowing users to morph between two settings with one control. Desktop users can plug in a MIDI keyboard and gain tactile command over this function via the modulation wheel. Ribbon mappings are great for Feedback swells, moving the Pitch knobs, or changing the Size for a massive detuning result.

ShimmerVerb also boasts a HOTSWITCH for calling up another state of parameters inside the same preset. Use this for changing octaves, turning off/on the pitch shifters, or simply turning the Mix up or down while crafting your performance. Finally, the FREEZE button allows you to make smeared textures out of single voices, full pads, or percussive elements resulting in metallic “shimmers.”
