Black Noise Generator

LF Generator

SirenFX Black Noise Generator is an LFE effect that creates a deep and unsettling noise texture that can be used to add atmosphere to any media project.

As a generator, it outputs the characteristic ‘doom’ tone often used in movies and games to create a sense of menacing foreboding or to allude to vast spaces. The generated noise can also be modulated with a sidechain input to add power and weight to any existing sound lacking low-end, such as gunshots, foley, or even the human voice.

The noise signal is overdriven and filtered in a two-stage process to create a texture that is both aggressive and smooth. It is also high-pass filtered to create a very focused sound.

Building Blocks 1

Music Theory & Composition Training Software for DAW-Based Music Makers

Drum Patterns, Basslines, Chord Progressions, and Melodies: Learn how to create these four essential elements of music in an engaging DAW environment with Building Blocks.

Building Blocks is an online music theory and composition course tailored to the needs of DAW-based music makers. Starting from the very beginning, you’ll embark on a video game-style interactive journey in an online DAW. And along the way, you’ll build real-life music-making skills with an intuitive step-by-step process until you’re making your own original beats from scratch.

Building Blocks 1

In this first volume of Building Blocks, you’ll learn how to write the foundational core of your beat: Drums, Bass, and Chords.

Take a detailed look at what’s covered:

Modernized Music Theory

Building Blocks has thrown out the traditional music theory rule book and created a new approach that’s tailored to the needs of DAW-based musicians.

Traditional music theory takes place in the centuries-old music staff and is loaded with information that doesn’t always apply to a DAW environment. So Building Blocks takes a streamlined need-to-know approach, removing the music staff and replacing it with the Piano Roll.

Learning music theory in the Piano Roll is crucial for DAW-based musicians. The Piano Roll is a note editing interface found in today’s most popular DAWs. So you’ll be learning in an environment that you can actually use to create music in your every-day music-making process.

Create Original Music

Throughout this online music composition course, you’ll be writing your own original music in our online music production studio. Every few lessons, you’ll be prompted to take what you’ve learned and write a drum pattern, bassline, chord progression, or melody. Sometimes you’ll be asked to write them together, or create a full beat from scratch.

By the end of Building Blocks, you’ll have plenty of original music to jump-start new songs. And our MIDI Export feature will make it easier for you to transfer your music from Building Blocks to your DAW-of-choice.

Interactive Ear Training

Unlike other music production courses, Building Blocks is more than just a series of videos. In almost every lesson, you’ll encounter an interactive ear training challenge that takes place in our online music production studio.

You’ll recreate hidden drum patterns, basslines, chord progressions, and melodies by ear. Every time you place a note correctly, your ear will get a little bit stronger. And eventually, you’ll be able to start creating the music you hear and feel.

What Exactly Will I Learn?

Drums

  • Using the three core drums of Kick, Snare, and Hi-Hat, to create an endless variety of patterns and rhythmic feels.
  • Using Velocity to vary the volume of drum notes to make your drum grooves bounce and come alive.

Bass

  • Writing Bass rhythms that feel great with the Drums, an essential relationship that is needed to set up a strong rhythmic foundation for your song.
  • Setting up the tonality for the Chords, and writing basslines that support the Chords’ harmony.

Chords

  • How to use different chord types to influence a song’s tonality and mood.
  • Voicing block chords to create a variety of top-line movement.
  • Arpeggiating chords to excite the overall rhythm with linear movement.

All Tracks

  • How to use Phrasing to provide conversational movement and rhythm, enabling your music to connect with the listener.
  • How to make the tracks work together to create a cohesive sound and feel.

Music Theory

  • Core song elements: Beat, tempo, measures, and more.
  • Understanding Relative Pitch and using it to determine a song’s tonality and mood.
  • Building essential chord types and navigating their related chord tones and non-chord tones.
  • Rhythm: Placement, duration, how it relates to the beat, and how it determines a song’s groove and feel.
  • Tonality: How pitches and the intervals between them influence the mood of a song.

Ear Training

  • Develop and train your ear to recognize the elements mentioned above, including pitch and rhythm.
  • Gain the ability to start taking what you hear in your head and in the music you listen to, and translate it into your

Dials

The treasured sound of 1950s electronics re-created

Dials is a detailed digital translation of a unique combination of 1950s electronic music hardware from composer and YouTuber Hainbach’s studio.

It is made with the rich sound and experimental spirit of early electronic music studios in mind.

The basis of Dials is a re-purposed German vacuum tube radio broadcast device paired with a heavy-duty American bandpass filter. They form a channel strip like no other.

The scientific and radio background of the equipment provides a tone that sets it apart, whether you are processing vocals, drums, or any other instrument.

Due to the built-in compressor, it is perfectly suited to lend your voice-over the “larger than life” feeling of great recordings of the past or make your drums sound like they could get past the door at Berghain.

Speaking of which: if you are feeling adventurous, feed it impulses and hear it roar like Stockhausen at a Gabber party.

While its roots are in the past, this is a truly modern device with an unparalleled sound. It can be used to sweeten your music or to experiment – it can even become an instrument in your hands.

ListenHub

Important Note: This software is available for Apple platforms only and will not function on Windows systems.

From bedroom to pro, producers and mixers are looking for a convenient way to quickly reference commercial tracks and gain more insight into their mix.

Ensure your mix stands strong against your favourite productions using ListenHub for macOS. Use it to easily A/B against songs from any streaming source such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube or your own media player.

Instantly listen to just the mid or sides, low-mids or highs and discover if your dynamics are competitive or crushed. ListenHub’s unique set of monitoring tools gives you the insights to make better mixing decisions.

Access ListenHub directly from your Mac or the free iOS and Android app for tablets and smartphones. ListenHub takes the immediacy, flexibility and tactile nature of a hardware monitor controller and marries it with the complete transparency of software routing. It can be used as a zero-latency plugin or a system-wide app hosting AU plugins on each output.

ListenHub is the audio control toolbox that places essential referencing and monitoring solutions at your fingertips

Listening to the same thing on repeat – this is what happens to us when you lose all objectivity; you become fixated on some details and miss others altogether. The bigger picture, the mix and the music are entirely lost. ListenHub gives you the perceptual resets and consistency required, so you can hear with fresh ears again.

Perceptual Reset

  • A/B your mix with your favourite songs. Hear where you’re competitive and what you need to tweak.
  • Solo different stereo channels to check mono compatibility, low-end focus and explore the stereo field.
  • Isolate frequency bands for fresh perspectives and focus on overlooked details like kick and bass relationships.
  • Don’t be fooled into thinking the loudest reference sounds the best. Remove any loudness bias by automatically matching the input level of all inputs.

Repeatable Results

  • Stepped volume controls provide quick, repeatable listening levels for consistent mixing decisions.
  • Simple loudness and dynamics metering keep you grounded. Stay green to stay competitive; it’s that simple.
  • Spectral meters display the frequency content to ensure a balanced mix, reflective of your chosen reference tracks.

Get the free ListenHub app for your iOS or Android device, freeing up your screen space and unlocking the limitations of other plugins.

Enhance Your Workflow

  • Audio meters are often intimidating because they are contextless and show many different standards. ListenHub features easy metering tools that help you stay on track with your music. These are meant to complement your ears, not replace them!
  • Stop spending time looking for, buying, or downloading your reference tracks. Stream them from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Tidal or from your own local storage.
  • Take full advantage of powerful room correction and simulation software from Sonarworks, Steven Slate and others using our AU plugin hosting. Apply plugins to any of ListenHub’s outputs with your chosen settings automatically applied.
  • Now, you can have different Sonarworks profiles for different sets of speakers or headphones without having to load profiles each time.
  • Slate VSX can be used on all your system audio. You’ll soon become more familiar with your headphones, using them for mixing, streaming, and entertainment and the results will translate better than ever before.

Features

  • Multiple simultaneous inputs to reference a variety of sources, your system audio, files imported into your DAW, and your in-process mix.
  • Easily switch between multiple outputs for different sets of monitor speakers or headphones.
  • Host AU plugins on any of the outputs, with any configuration.
  • Band solos in conjunction with the spectral analyser to identify issues, or reference specific frequency ranges of mixes you like.
  • Channel solo to check mono compatibility and stereo width.
  • Stepped volume control for precise and repeatable listening levels.
  • The Match Input Loudness button automatically corrects level differences between your reference tracks.
  • ListenHub’s Auto-mute instantly catches loud bursts protecting your ears and your speakers.
  • Want to ensure a dynamic and exciting mix? ListenHub will tell you if your mix is crushed, loud, competitive or lively.
  • Use the Short-term LUFS meter to ensure a consistent level between different parts of your arrangement.
  • Set your short-term loudness to the loudest part, and everything else will fall into place.
  • Stop worrying about integrated loudness as each streaming service will apply loudness normalisation to your track, regardless.

Important Note: This software is available for Apple platforms only and will not function on Windows systems.

  • macOS 10.12 or later (64-bit only)
  • Standalone, VST3, AU, AAX (requires Pro Tools 11 or later)

Licensing

Sonnox ListenHub offers 2 activations per licence you buy. You can authorise your plug-in directly to your computer, using an iLok USB device or to iLok Cloud.

Das Boot

Realistic Stomp Generator

Like its brothers, El Clapo and Le Snappet, Das Boot can generate super-realistic foot stomps, from a single spoiled baby to a stadium filled with sports fans waiting for Queen to rock them.

Meticulously recorded with three mic positions and packed with the same powerful features found in El Clapo and Le Snappet, Das Boot gives you full control of mic placement, width along with compression and EQ. Of course, there’s the ever-popular Slop control that lets you adjust how tight your loose your stomping will be.

Das Boot also features a CPU-saving round-robin setting and a 12-step sequencer that lets you create up to 12 patterns.

Das Boot is designed to make it simple to create stomp tracks of any size. From a single stomp to an entire crowd, you determine how the stomps sound.

You determine the group size. You determine how sloppy they are. You control the microphone mix. We sampled multiple stompers at multiple layers and a bunch of round robins, from 3 different mic perspectives. The result is natural-sounding stomps no matter how large the crowd.

Control with MIDI or the built-in step sequencer that lets you automate between 12 user-created patterns.

Features

  • Easily generate ultra-realistic foot stomps, from a single angry baby to a stadium filled with sports fans.
  • Great for music and film post-production.
  • Three adjustable mic positions; close/mid and room.
  • Close and Room mic controls each feature a fully adjustable compressor with mix knob, 4-band EQ, and width control.

Simple Stems

Split any song, fast

Simple Stems is a quick and easy way to decompose any audio into it’s constituent parts. Leveraging the well established Spleeter algorithm by Deezer, you can separate songs into three different ways:

  • vocals and accompaniment (2 stems).
  • vocals, drums, bass, and other (4 stems).
  • vocals, drums, bass, piano and other (5 stems).

The results are stunning, though more complicated mixes and live recordings are not always perfectly split.

Drag-and-drop functionality

Simple Stems is extremely easy to use! It loads as a plugin (VST/AU/AAX) or standalone. To get new stems, simply drop your audio on the splitter and wait a moment for the stems to appear. You can preview individual stems and then drag the stems directly to your DAW, desktop, or files.

A great addition to your workflow

Your tools should serve you, not the other way around. With Simple Stems, you can get new stems EASILY without leaving your flow or hopping online! Files are automatically created in a folder right beside the original audio, so you can always find them later.

Energy Panner

Energy Panner uses the intensity of a sound to control its movement.

From traditional stereo to immersive, this plugin enables artists to add dynamic depth to their panning techniques without any effort or additional routing.

Sound Intensity Controls Panning
With Energy Panner, the sound intensity controls the panner, creating movement that reacts to sound. Imagine drums moving at the beat, synth notes that move on attack, among many other behaviours. From music to audio post, from stereo to Dolby Atmos, Energy Panner is a plugin that you definitely want in your toolset.

Panning Mode
The Pan mode is essentially a normal end-to-end particle-based panning. This type of panning effect changes the position of the sound source between two points (start point -> endpoint) previously defined by you. Therefore, the greater the energy of the input signal the greater the shift from the starting point to the endpoint.

Sliding Mode
Whenever the audio signal reaches a certain level (threshold value), the sound source moves on a trajectory that you define. As opposed to pan mode, the sound source does not return to the starting point as soon as the signal level drops. The sound source will freeze that position until the audio signal exceeds the threshold value again, leading to a new shift of the sound source in the dome space.

MAIN FEATURES

  • Stereo, Immersive & Binaural Outputs: From stereo, 7.1, HOA to Binaural and Dolby Atmos, Energy Panner gives you several output options based on virtual microphones technology.
  • Dynamic Movement: Easily set how the sounds will move. For instance, will they move from the speakers position to the centre or will they move clockwise starting from a custom position?
  • Sidechain: Use external signals to control the effect of the plugin instead of using the track’s sound for this.
  • Visualization Dome: Track every single movement the sounds are making through the main component of the plugin’s UI: the dome.
  • Randomization: Running out of ideas? Don’t worry! The Energy Panner has a randomize option that outputs a new result each time you click it.
  • Absolute Control: Energy Panner brings you all the options you need to have complete control over how the sounds are moving in the panoramic field.

Operating System

Luxor

Luxor is the key if you want an instrument to stand out and spread in the mix.

It will scoop your high frequencies to the edge of the stereo field using a sidechained haas effect, while the mid-highs will be made bright with a in-house tape distortion algorithm. The resulting signals will be glued together using an adaptative broadband compression.

Luxor can be used from 10-20% to 80-100% wet, whether you want to unleash the power of a lead, or to gently highlight a pad.

A broad range of controls are here to help you tailor the sound you need:

  • Dry Wet allows you to blend the original signal with the one at the end of the processing chain, while Out Gain controls the output volume.
  • Width controls the intensity of the haas effect on the upper-end of the spectrum.
  • Character sets the amount of tape coloration and broadband compression.
  • Color changes slightly the cutoff frequency of the Linqwitz-Riley fitlers used to split the spectrum into different bands which will be processed with different parameters.

This plugin is NOT compatible with Logic.

VST2, VST3, AU

MAC OS:

  • Compatible with all OS except NOT compatible with Apple Silicon
  • Refunds not provided for Apple Silicon related issues

PC:

  • Windows 10

Building Blocks 1 & 2 Bundle

Music Theory & Composition Training Software for DAW-Based Music Makers

Drum Patterns, Basslines, Chord Progressions, and Melodies: Learn how to create these four essential elements of music in an engaging DAW environment with Building Blocks.

Building Blocks is an online music theory and composition course tailored to the needs of DAW-based music makers. Starting from the very beginning, you’ll embark on a video game-style interactive journey in an online DAW. And along the way, you’ll build real-life music-making skills with an intuitive step-by-step process until you’re making your own original beats from scratch.

Building Blocks 1 & 2

Save by buying Building Blocks 1 & 2 together, and learn how to create all four essential elements of music composition: Drum Patterns, Basslines, Chord Progressions, and Melodies.
