Pickup Set Strat Texas Special
There is probably not a guitar in the world that has been played by as many people as the Fender Stratocaster. And hardly any other guitars allow for such hardware flexibility and DIY as the Strat, so it should come as no surprise that Fender offers a huge range of different pickups. These pickups are used in many Fender Strats from the Custom Shop. The Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Singature Strat and the ’93/’94 Limited Strat get their characteristic sound from the Texas Special Strat pickups.
The middle pickup is reverse wired in design to reduce the humming in the middle position. The pickups in the set are designed to work in harmony with each other.
The characteristics: Loud vintage sound with rich bass and mids, but also sufficient treble to produce convincing a clean sound. This makes it the ideal pickup set for people looking for a slightly more powerful and fatter vintage Strat sound. The set brings the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan sound well within reach – no surprises there, though, since his own Signature Strat is equipped with these exact pickups.
This pickup is “to blame” for the successful comeback of Fender pickups.
