Stroh Violin
The Stroh violin is a combination of a violin and a trumpet that works on the gramophone principle. The bridge rests on one side of a resonating diaphragm, which absorbs the vibrations of the bridge via a small metal pin. The resulting sound is then acoustically amplified in the trumpet funnel.
