Gibson P-498T BK

Pickup

The 498T is the hotter version of a vintage pickup with a higher internal resistance and higher power output. The 498T has an average sound character when compared with the 490T, and is therefore preferably used for the bridge position; especially when the player wants to generate warm and singing lead sounds. The 498T has a vintage Alnico magnet and is used by Gibson for Les Paul Studios, Les Paul Standards and Les Paul Custom guitars in the bridge position.

  • This pickup equipped with vintage Alnico magnets is the hotter version of a vintage pickup
  • Characteristic: Higher output
  • 4-wire
  • Singing, warm lead sounds
  • Black cover
