Luftrum 21Luftrum 21 is a soundbank collaboration between Luftrum, synthwave artist Michael Oakley and producer legend Arksun. The trio have teamed up in a time-travel to create a nostalgic set of 128 handcrafted 80s inspired synth presets for Sylenth1, designed with usability in mind and sounds that sit well in a mix. Luftrum 21 is from the time when VHS and Karate Kid were totally rad! When Marty McFly burned rubber in his DeLorean and when “wax on, wax off…” made perfectly sense. The soundbank is full of iconic synth keys, pulsewidth leads, legacy pads, retro basslines and melodic arpeggios and sequences, all influenced by a broad mix of old and modern artists such as FM Attack, Sylvester, Imagination, The Midnight, Yazoo, Kalax, Sandra, Timecop1983 and a multitude of others. It’s the perfect match for synthwave, synthpop, funk, italo disco and retrowave – or just about any modern production in need of an aesthetic finesse. Kick back, fire up your DeLorean, turn up the volume and take a drive down memory lane… Luftrum 21 requires Sylenth1 v3.0.5 or later to load, presets will not load or work in earlier versions of Sylenth1. We created no less than two YouTube demo vids for this release, do check them out below! Pack Contents:

Hey! That’s What We Call Pads, vol. 1Gathering together a large group of fourteen top-tier seasoned sound designers, Hey! That’s What We Call Pads, vol. 1 contains 240 presets and is the first soundset in a series that explores a singular category of sound. In this volume, pads are in focus and the synth is Serum. Contained within is an expert blend of aesthetics imprinted with each sound designer’s unique sonic signature. Every preset is an expression of their own personal sensibilities and each designer’s unique take on pads is different from the other. The impressive cadre of sound designers include: Arksun | The Unfinished | Venus Theory | Bigtone | S1gns of L1fe | Erot | Electric Himalaya | Airwave | Oblivion Sound Lab | Michael Oakley | Lauge | Sonic Underworld | Echo Season | Luftrum, featuring sound sculptors who have worked with leading synth companies such as Korg, Steinberg, Arturia and Waldorf and collaborating with the biggest names in the industry from Hans Zimmer to Armin van Buuren. Hey! Pads stands among one of the largest ever ‘pads only’ collaborations on a single soundset, and with 240 presets, there is a veritable cornucopia of pads to choose from. Within you will find warm vintage 80s pads to crystallized frequencies pulled from the remnants of galaxies. Brooding cinematic pads will captivate your audience, and lush ear-tingling atmospheric pads will propel your listeners into orbit. In addition, the set comes with 150 custom handcrafted wavetables created by Luftrum. The wavetables are all based on pads and augment Serum’s factory content with new timbres that come to life when slowly modulated over two or more bars. The set also comes with a new free ‘Raven Black’ skin, in dark grey colors and with black keys, designed by Luftrum. Every preset focuses heavily on playability and expressiveness and has assignments for Modwheel, Velocity, and Aftertouch (when appropriate) and has a few dB of headroom reserved for easy mixing. In addition, all 4 Macro knobs are utilized, which tease out new timbres, introduce subtle rhythmic elements, or completely warp and transform patches into something else entirely. Pack Contents:

LuftkraftLuftkraft is a soundset containing 82 Kraftwerk inspired synth patches for U-He Diva, all handkrafted by Luftrum. By analyzing Kraftwerk tracks, Luftrum has decoded and replicated several iconic and notable sounds and made a handful of new ones which Kraftwerk never knew existed! The result is a carefully created selection of patches, ranging from famed synth leads to resonant zap drums, classic basses and sound effects to pads and electronic transients, as heard on Kraftwerk albums throughout the years. The soundset also contains fresh and non-emulated new material. Patches that are not reverse engineered or accurate replications but designed out from a Kraftwerk style technique, by combining typical Kraftwerk synth settings to create new fusions and breeds based on the characteristics and signature of existing sounds. Luftkraft is fully NKS compatible, relevant for users of Komplete Kontrol hardware by Native Instruments. It includes tagged NKS presets, NKS audio previews and comes sorted in a Luftkraft subbank, separating them from other Diva presets. All patches leave a few dB headroom and there’s a PDF guide included, describing how to install the set and where to place the NKS presets. The soundset does not include any MIDI files. While being replicated as accurately as possible, these are freely inspired synth emulations, recreated by ear. The patches may not at all have the same synth settings as their original counterpart. All the sounds you hear in the main demo below are 100% Diva including all the drums and no external samples or effects of any kind are used. Just several instances of Diva straight to the master output with a limiter on top. Disclaimer: This is a soundset inspired by Kraftwerk. It is not created nor endorsed by Kraftwerk, it is not an official Kraftwerk product and Kraftwerk has not been involved in the creation of Luftkraft. Pack Contents:

Ambient SoundscapesAmbient Soundscapes is a beatless, light and mindful voyage into ambient music. A contrast to the chaos, noise, loudness and sound pollution, painting a quiet image in a moment of stillness and as neo-expressionist Jean-Michel Basquiat once said “Art is how we decorate space, music is how we decorate time…” Ambient Soundscapes is the first soundset by Danish ambient producer and sound designer Lauge. With a long history of writing electronic music, Henrik Laugesen better known under the pseudonym Lauge or as part of Lauge & Baba Gnohm, still continues to express himself through deep and melancholic soundscapes ranging from beatless drones to IDM and Glitch. With a career spanning over two decades and releases with many major labels, Lauge has established a very firm foothold within the Ambient genre, which is deeply rooted in the foundation of the Luftrum brand. Lauge’s debut set Ambient Soundscapes contains 72 signature presets and delivers a variety of ambient sounds from lush to distorted pads to beatless textures and warped drones, mysterious soundscapes, glitchy experimental keys and bits of uncrowded dusty anomalies. Moreover, the set is infused with a few acid lines and spacey arpeggios, perfect for ambient and drone subgenres, summing up a set that feels ascending and meditative at the same time. The set shines in the low end of the keyrange and the presets invite you to set the BPM to 40 and reach deep down your keyboard, sustaining and holding single notes or simple chords to hear them unfold over time, while you close your eyes and drift away in time and space. The set is inspired by ambient electronic artists such as Hilyard, SVLBRD, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Dawn Chorus and the Infallible Sea, Endless Melancholy and Zakè. Ambient Soundscapes is created in Omnisphere 2.6, so you need that version or later to play the sounds. All presets are sorted in official Spectrasonics categories and have a few dB headroom. There’s a PDF guide included describing how to install the set, it’s an easy 1-click installation. Pack Contents:

Vangelis for OmnisphereVangelis for Omnisphere is a tribute soundset of synth emulations and Vangelis-inspired sounds, carefully created by Luftrum by closely studying some of the classics Vangelis composed throughout his life. The collection contains 115 presets, divided among 90 patches and 25 multis. The soundset is inspired by the music of Vangelis. From the early era of L’Apocalypse des Animaux and Opera Sauvage, to later compositions such as his film score to the Oscar-winning Chariots of Fire and Koreyoshi Kurahara’s film Antarctica, to solo albums like The City and Direct, Voices and Oceanic, and of course, his immortal and epic soundtrack to the 1982 Ridley Scott sci-fi classic film Blade Runner. Some of the emulations include the CS-80 synth lead from the Blade Runner Main Titles, the Koto-sounding synth key from Theme from Antarctica, the mesmerizing arpeggio from Fields of Coral, the synth brass as heard in Five Circles; a recreation of the fragile and delicate synth key from Le Petite Fille de la Mer, and the classic harmonica/synth lead from Blade Runner Blues, plus many more emulations and Vangelis-inspired sounds. Listen to the demos. All sounds in the YouTube video and the main demo on SoundCloud are straight from the Vangelis soundset. There is no external processing of any kind, no EQ, no compression, and no other sounds or effects used. But the soundbank is much more than emulations. It also contains synth presets, freely inspired by Vangelis’ music in general. Expressive synth keys, pads and strings, synthesized harps, sound effects of rain and wind, synth leads, and basses. All drawing inspiration from sounds we imagine Vangelis could have designed himself, and used in his compositions. As an extra, the set comes with 22 FX Rack Presets which are effect presets, creatively and freely inspired by the reverb of Vangelis and the Lexicon 224. All the presets in the set possess great attention to detail. They are authentic to Vangelis, being expressive and extremely velocity-sensitive. Modwheel and aftertouch play an essential part in the performance of most of the sounds. The presets are sorted in official Spectrasonics categories and have a few dB of headroom reserved. A PDF guide is included that describes how to install the set. There are four patches ported over from the soundset Luftrum Ambient 2, among them the Hymne preset (which is revisited in this release) but also the Blade Runner Main and two others. So if you have Luftrum Ambient 2, you will already have a few of the presets. Pack Contents:

Synth City for Spire…and he was gone. The sun was eclipsed behind the buildings, leaving only smoke and colors. City lights danced across his windshield and polished chrome. All that remained was the distant din from his engine and the steady pulse of the cities beat. Soaked in shades of neon, and shaken like a beach side martini – Synth City for Spire delivers those warm retro flavors with a vibrant modern twist. Carefully designed by musician and sound designer, Michael Oakley, Synth City encompasses a range of emotions from uplifting, through nostalgic to melancholy. Like the last waning days of summer, it will leave you longing for those nights that reside between memory and feeling. Synth City is about 80’s soaked synths that splash your tracks with fuchsia colors. Sturdy muscular bass that supports your arrangements like reliable well-worn denim. Lush vintage pads flow like those long luscious locks of hair that you used to have, and night cloaked synths and sequences usher in a moodier vibe. Of course, it is not all about nostalgia, and like any Luftrum release, Synth City accounts for the present and future with forward-thinking design aesthetics. Spires excellent filters and oscillators are given a full extended workout, and the small touches to each patch elevates them above the norm. Synth City feels equally at home with Synthwave, EDM, Future Bass, Lo-Fi, or Synthpop. Within you will find 64 presets, sorted by category and tagged with descriptions. Every sound is carefully balanced and mix ready for when that flash of inspiration hits. Check out the masterful demo track below composed by Michael Oakley to hear a sampling of the possibilities – no external effects or processing were used (with the exception of drums). Set your cruise control for a steady 100 BPM, grab your shades and settle in for a trip to Synth City. Note: Finger-less gloves and snap bracelets not included. Pack Contents:
