Myna Sounds

950DM Drums is a collection of samples created using either classic analogue drum machines, or using analogue synths or drum synthesis plugins.

All drum hits were processed through a vintage AKAI s950 sampler, before being resampled back into a DAW via analogue desks and tape machines. Lastly, completed into sampler drum kits for various DAW soft samplers, allowing you to jam away and get creative with the single drum hits.

Also included are House and Hip-Hop/Downbeat pre-made drum loops from each kit and broken down into elements: Kick, Snare, Hat and Percussion Loops.

You can mix and match to create unique loops. In addition to the audio, we’ve included all of the midi files of the drum loops, broken down to single elements. So, you can easily mix a kick drum midi pattern from one loop with a snare midi pattern from another, triggering any of the sampler kits we have created. The possibilities of new drum loops are endless!

Processed via an outboard analogue mixing desk, tape machine, or via high-end vintage modelling plugins.

All sounds within this pack retain the much-loved character of the equipment that they were produced with.

So expect some analogue hiss and grit to be present, as if you had played them directly from the instrument yourself.

Vintage Underground House was created using a vast array of vintage synths, drum machines & iconic samplers.

Many of the sounds and loops have been pre-sampled into an AKAI s950 for that 12bit crunch, or an AKAI s1000 for its lush sound, before being processed via an outboard analogue mixing desk, tape machine, or high-end vintage modelling plugins.

All sounds within this pack retain the much-loved character of the equipment that they were produced with. So expect some analogue hiss and grit to be present, as if you had played them directly from the instrument yourself.

The Teisco s60F is a rare 32-key analogue monophonic synthesizer, featuring a single oscillator (saw/pulse/noise waveforms), plus an external audio in. Made in Japan in the 1980s, and used on Hot Chip’s acclaimed studio album ’The Warning’ (2006).

Using the ’80s Teisco s60F mono synth, we aimed to capture as many bass sounds as possible. For those in the know, this synth excels at bass.

Here we have a total of 50 original bass presets. Some recorded raw without EQ/FX, others with high-end tube EQ, tape, guitar pedals & bit crushers for some crunchy 8-bit bass! Furthermore, we recorded different octaves of the oscillators and layered them to create two/three oscillator bass sounds that are impossible to reproduce with hardware synth alone.
