Axe MachinaA Cutting-Edge Virtual 7 String Guitar library built for Kontakt Axe Machina is a powerful multi-sampled virtual electric guitar library designed for unleashing pure metal destruction. Craig Peters sampled his custom Kiesel Aries multi-scaled 7 string guitar, tuned to A Standard. This instrument features 24 frets, a swamp ash body, birdseye maple neck, Guitarmory Polaris pickups with D’Addario XL 10-64 gauge strings. The swamp ash body has a unique style and flavor, along with a robust natural tone and resonance. We sampled single note and power chord sustains with palm mute variations. You’ll also find an assortment of SFX, like pinch harmonics, mutes, pick scrapes with slow, med and long, fret noise, chokes, rakes, and slides. Dial in your dream tone by sending our pure D.I. signal through your favorite amp simulator plugins, or use our custom reamped tone, crafted with Neural DSP software. Our flexible GUI gives you access to real-time articulation selection and performance features, key-switch and mapping options, arpeggiator, auto-strummer, sequencer, and full FX rack, all packed into an intuitive and customizable user interface. We’ve packed the user interface with powerful sound-shaping and performance controls to give you complete flexibility combined with playability. The Main presets contain every sample in the library and a host of powerful performance features. The Lite presets feature fewer round-robins for situations where less RAM usage is important. The DI presets feature the pure guitar tone, recorded directly in with no preamp or other sound-coloring hardware in between, giving you the pure guitar tone, ready to reamp with the built-in effects or any other way you choose. The Amped presets feature a custom tone carefully dialed in by Craig Peters, giving you a modern hi-gain tone right out of the box. In the standard presets, you have access to individual strings, giving you full control over the available range for each string, including overlapping notes. The Simple variations of the preset omit this option and include a standard cross-over point for each string going up the scale. The interface is rounded-out by our modular FX rack panel, with 27 different DSP effect modules that you can assign in any of 8 available slots, in any order that you wish. You’ll find classic phaser, flanger, delay, distortion, amp and cab simulators, compressors, EQ, rotator and so much more. The Reverb effect includes our favorite convolution reverb impulse responses, including 99 different rooms, halls, chambers and outdoor environments, plus another 40 custom FX impulses to radically transform the sound and open up whole new worlds of musical possibility. We’ve added a great bank of FX rack chain factory presets to get you started! Specifications:

Hyperion Strings OktobassThe Oktobass is the deepest concert string instrument, with a thunderous, room-shaking growl. We’ve sampled this bone-rattling beast to build a massive virtual instrument offering 30+ articulations and over 12GB of content. You’ll find a variety of sustains, shorts, dynamic expressions, true legato, creative effects and hundreds of aleatoric melodic phrases. As part of our Hyperion symphonic series, it provides a suite of intuitive options, flexible tools and inspiring performance features, from intelligent arpeggiation and articulation switching, to flexible tempo-synching and sound-shaping DSP effects, all at your fingertips to make it easy to craft brilliantly life-like arrangements. The first Oktobass (also spelled “Octobass”) was built in 1849 by Jean Baptiste Vuillaume, but it drifted into legend by the end of the 1800s, lost but not forgotten for over a century. Then in 1996, double bass player Nicola Moneta, luthier Pierre Bohr and bow-maker Piero Cavalazzi constructed the first modern Octobass. Moneta has gone on to play it in nearly 150 concerts around the world over the last 25 years, though it still remains one of only a handful in existence today. This 3.48 meter (11.5 ft) mammoth is played from a raised platform, using a row of mechanical levers to control the fingerboard. The cavernous instrument body produces a surprisingly nuanced character, with intense stereo movement and subtle mechanical ornamentation. We worked with Giorgio Riolo and Daniele Bertinelli to capture the Octobass at Moneta’s private gallery in Milan, Italy. It was recorded using a close pair of large-diaphragm mics at the F holes to achieve a dry and intimate sound, and a wide-spaced pair of omnis at 2 meters for a bright and vivid chamber quality. The mics can be blended in real-time, and the instrument can be freely positioned on our virtual stage, featuring a huge menu of our custom environments, so it’s easy to mix into any arrangement you desire. Your creative options are endless with the Hyperion Solo Strings Oktobass! Contents This library includes one epic Oktobass with Master and Phrases nki presets. The Master presets include a wide selection of articulations, each with their own range of customizable real-time performance options, key-switch and mapping options and performance tools. The master preset allow you to blend and switch effortlessly between sustains, a variety of shorts and naturally dynamic tempo-based expressions. The Sustain articulations give you a plethora of sustain types with p, mf, F, tremolo p & F, sforzando, swell, flautando, and true legato. The Short articulations include staccato p & F, spiccato p & F, pizzicato p & F, pizzicato F mute, col legno, bartok pizzicato, and more! Each short articulation provides 4 round-robin variations per note, making it easy to humanize your arrangements and find the perfect emotive expression for any musical moment. The Expressions allow real-time dynamically-aware release sample triggering, tempo-synching and time-stretching. We’ve included Crescendo, Decrescendo, Sforzando, Swell, and Swell Tremolo articulations. When combined with the Offset and Attack controls, you can carve out just about any dynamic shape you could ever need. There are also a variety of wild bass SFX like chord staccatos, harmonic sustains, percussion, rolls, scrapes, and more. The phrase presets feature a massive collection of live phrases, organized intuitively by root key. Tempo-synching, time-stretching, and pitch transposition give you complete freedom to customize. You can also shape, blend and sequence phrases with our phrase-legato, step sequencer, speed-control, and live waveform editing. Features:

Drone FlutesA Collection of Central American Indigenous Drone Flutes library built for Kontakt We teamed up with acclaimed sound practitioner René Jenkins to bring you a fantastic catalog of indigenous Central American drone flutes, in the Mayan, Aztec and Zapotec traditions. René performed with six of his favorite 2, 3 and 4-chambered flutes at the giant cathedral-like St Paul’s Church in San Francisco. We recorded a variety of chromatic articulations and improvised phrases and effects in meticulous detail, including sustains, staccatos, true legato, chirps, swells, trills, flutters, and more. This library is perfect for cinematic compositions, game scoring, atmospheric songwriting, folk music and creative sound design. The first instrument is the Double Wooden F#4 Drone Flute. It reaches from F#4 to Bb5, with soulful overtones and a wooden, breathy timbre. Next up is the Double Zapotec A4 Clay Flute, spanning from A4 to C6. In the midrange, the Harmony C4 Flute spans C4 to Eb5. The Quad Clay Flute plays D5 to F#6 – the ceramic body gives it a warm, rounded sound for gentle melodies or powerful rhythms. The Triple Snake Flute and Triple Zapotec Clay Flute both span F4 to Ab5. All of these flutes come with a variety of articulations and mic positions so you can mix and match to create your own chamber ensemble. This level of depth and detail lets you craft naturally lush drone flute arrangements, while our advanced sound-shaping and dynamic performance features allow you to explore with complete freedom. To encapsulate the feel of live drone flutes in the hands of an expert, René also played thousands of beautifully dynamic live performance phrases for each flute, performing a total of over 3,000 distinct melodic elements. The phrases are organized by flute type, tempo (80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 140 bpm), musical key and style. You can trigger them individually with your keyboard or sequence them in the phrase sequencer, with full control over tempo, offset, release, pitch and so much more. We captured his beautifully haunting sound from three distinct microphone positions: Close, Mid, and Far. The close microphones are a stereo pair of large studio condensers, offering an essentially “dry” sound, with strong tonality, minimal room tail and full presence. The mid position is a wide pair of omnis with a lush, blooming and open quality perfect for orchestral blending. The far mics are a distant pair of studio mics with a wide, cavernous and smoothly cinematic sound with an almost lonely and somber quality. Features:

David Oliver’s DrumkitDavid Oliver’s Drum Kit is a deeply sampled red 1980’s Pearl DLX drumset, handpicked and performed by British instrumentalist and media composer David Oliver. The Pearl DLX was originally played and endorsed by the legendary Jazz drummer Art Blakey although it has a very versatile sound suitable for multiple genres of music. We put it through it’s paces sampling it with a number of different stick types for maximum scope of expressive drumming techniques from ultra loud to ultra soft. The compact 18 inch kick is super punchy with a 12 inch rack tom and 14 inch floor tom. We recorded this kit extensively at The Whitehouse Studios in UK. We recorded an extensive array of cymbals which were mostly Zildjians with a few Sabian, a few Paiste and Wuhan. We included a variety of hi hats with combinations of top and bottom, custom jazz and rock rides selected for their rich character and expressive crashes and splashes. We also sampled some effects cymbals, a few of which I customised myself with a grinder and rivets. The Sabian custom 20in crash ride was customised from a minibell dry ride by artisan cymbal maker Dave Collingwood in Bristol UK working to my specifications to create a uniquely rich and tonally exotic cymbal especially for this project. The toms were double headed using Evans Level 360 Heads for the batter side which are great for sound control and fidelity and Evans 56 Calftone drum head for the Mapex Peace Snare Drum, with Remo Coated Ambassador head on the vintage Pearl Super Gripper Brass Shell Snare Drum and Evans 56 Calftone and Gope Goatskin on Custom 22 inch Concert bass drum. This concert bass drum was hand built by an artisan drum maker in UK to my specifications for sound control recording purposes. The 18 inch kick was sampled with a Remo Powerstroke batter head and Evans Level 360 resonant front head. The mics we used were a stereo pair of Blue Dragonfly for overhead mics, Stereo Neumann TLM 103s for close up, an M-S front pair, figure 8 (Microtech-Geffell UM70s and cardioid TLM103). Overall, this powerhouse is ready for jazz, rock, pop, or any genre that requires drums with amazing realism and customization. With the multiple mic positions, you can quickly dial in your own perfect drum kit and be on your way to your best sound yet. Specifications:
