Super Distortion-F
Pretty much everything began with the DiMarzio Super Distortion. We remember the ’70s: everyone wanted the fat, creamy tube overdrive, but this was only possible at downright harmful volumes (since the master volume control was not so widespread). Many pickups simply delivered too little output and sustain because the amp couldn’t be sufficiently overdriven. But then, Larry DiMarzio built the Super Distortion, and thus the blueprint of all distortion pickups was born. Even today the SD sounds good: high output, combined with a significant increase in mids, makes any amp jump for joy. Even today, it is for many people the pickup for life. With the DP101 FBK, the Super Distortion is available for guitars with F-spacing.
