- Modelled after the violins of Giovanni Paolo Maggini, whose violins often have a double vein on the edge, wide scrolls and long soundholes
- The inlay work on this model is a homage to his teacher Gasparo da Salo – Maggini himself had provided the original with his own pattern
- Due to the slightly larger body with a back length of 359 mm and the high arched top making this violin sound very powerful

- Top made of alpine spruce (Picea abies)
- Back, ribs and scroll made of flamed maple (Acer pseudoplatanus)
