Last year I set a big challenge to myself: if I can make any nice Padsheaven kind of smoothness, warmness out of Massive.

Massive is famous about the cold digital harsness so it is used mostly for agressive leads and basses.

It was starting out hard for me, but I didn’t give it up and suddenly the beast become more handy and kind to me.

Now I can proudly report to you: I did tame the beast!

Massive Heaven is a collection of 68 expressive, evolving, warm, soft, light, dramatic, emotional synth pads and 33 carefully selected Keys, Leads, Plucked instruments, Sequences, Basses.

Most of them are highly transformable by the wonderfully useful Makros.

I like to think of my presets as a new, versatile, expressive, standalone instruments.

Thanks for the Massive GUI, the names of the Makros will tell a lot about how to use. I also use to drop some notes for guidelines.

You’ll find a new, versatile, responsive, highly playable instrument inside most of the presets.

For example in demo1 “PD Angelic Performance” you can start with a nice voicy soft pad, play at high velocity to let a slow warm strings sneak in, then turn up Makro2 and some lovely synth Horns begin to play in the mix. With further opening (Modwheel) a full blown bright Strings/Orchestra evolves.

Modwheel, Pitch Bend, Velocity and Aftertouch are set. In some cases Pitch Bend acting as Filter Cutoff Up/Down.

More modulations are coming with the 4 Makros.

You can set these to use with midi learn your preferable midi controllers (right click on the makro).
You can use those controllers for expressive live playing, and also for fine tuning in your DAW after recording.

Since creating the factory patches in 2015 for the new HIVE synth from U-he, Joseph Hollo had some time to look deep inside the synth’s engine and explore new possibilities, new ideas.

After months of intimate and lovely work, let us to introduce our first commercial soundset for HIVE: Transmitting Spheres

It became a huge all-rounder soundset, containing 165 patches from heavy hitting Drums, Plucks, Leads, Fx to soft, warm analogue, airy, bright digital and ethereal, emotional, evolving pads, textures. Exploring Hive’s great arpeggiator there are many BPM synced animated pads, punchy Basslines, lyrical arpeggios and sequencers.
