Drums of St PaulA Massive 3-Piece Drum Kit library built for Kontakt Drums of St Paul was recorded in the massive sanctuary hall at historic Saint Paul’s in San Francisco, CA (the same location as our renowned Requiem Light Symphonic Choir). This powerful multi-sampled drum library captures a variety of kick, snare, and tom articulations from three different microphone positions for a crisp and lush natural reverb and open tone you can blend effortlessly to create an epic sound for any genre. The kick comes with high and low bass drum strikes, metal, rim, and side clicks. The snare was sampled with snares on and off, rimshots, and rim clicks, while the tom includes high and low strikes and rim clicks. We prioritized maximum clarity and presence for each instrument with a wide stereo image, up to 13 velocity layers and 16 round robin. This open-format Kontakt library is perfect for light to “epic” cinematic drum arrangements, concert percussion, Pop or Rock drum tracks, drum replacement or layering. Each articulation provides natural and aggressively dynamic performances you can take even further using our arpeggiator and FX rack. We’ve also included 20 unique sound designed ambiences, atmospheres, and sustaining pads to provide tonal leads and background textures. They can be used with the drums or in any other music application you wish. Each one has been hand-crafted using the raw source recordings to create an ideal sonic companion to this library. The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. You have control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more. This library comes with an adaptable LFO system, with selectable LFO shape, modulation target parameter, speed, intensity, tempo-syncing and fade-in time. You can also apply your choice of 12 lowpass, high-pass and FX filters, with assignable modulation targets such as velocity, modwheel, expression, after-touch, key position and step-sequencer table control. Our customizable arpeggiator offers a velocity table and control over arp direction, timing, swing, randomization and duration. OrganettaOrganetta is a portable vintage electronic organ made in the early 1970s by the esteemed German manufacturer Hohner. The sound is nostalgically familiar: something in between a melodica, accordion, and analog synthesizer. The El Luxe 49P used colorful switches to effortlessly transition between tones, from mellow flutes to brilliant trumpet, warm strings to haunting oboe. It had internal speakers, and came with volume-adjustable drum loops to help you practice your gnarly organ chops. To faithfully capture all of the character of this vintage gem, we meticulously recorded two microphone positions: up close in stereo, and direct line in. Soundiron’s Organetta comes with our favorite synth sustains, deep bass tones, staccatos, drum loops, and keystroke sound effects. Unleash its full potential by experimenting with our built-in FX rack, which offers amplifier emulation, reverb, delay, distortion, and so much more. We’ve also included 20 custom patches and sound-designed ambient synth pads created from the source to make this library extraordinarily playable and versatile. Whether you’re looking to create a massive video game sound, bold synth bass, or just shred a slick nasal brass solo, Organetta is ready to rock! Contents The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. CymbologyA Bowed And Warped FX Cymbal Library For Kontakt Cymbology is a massive percussion effects library built around bowed cymbals and gongs. We captured 20 unique cymbals, in all shapes, sizes, alloys and varieties, from crashes and splashes to gongs, bells, trashes and even a stack of spent WWII Howitzer artillery shells. We explore the classic bowed cymbal effect in exquisite detail, with dozens of variations for each cymbal, from short stabs to long tortured wails and everything in between. These often sought-after dramatic scoring and sound design fundamentals are perfect for setting dark moods, striking bold transitions, building stingers, weaving soundscapes and manipulating in any number of ways to evoke sonic images both dark and light. Not content to leave it there, we experiment with dry ice on the cymbal surfaces. The results are just as wildly varied as the bowed articulations, but these squeals, hisses, screeches, drones, screams, rumbles and wails are an entirely different flavor. We recorded both sets of sustaining and short cymbal effects in two wide microphone positions, up close for full detail, presence and clarity without room coloration and out in a large hall, for a rich, lush and naturally spacious reverb ideal for epic and orchestral scoring. Next, we created a collection of extraordinary melodic tuned percussion instruments from the most tonally pure and musical raw material within the library. Each tuned percussion preset has a unique and complex sound, with flowing overtones, broad warmth, clear highs and massive low end, with flavors ranging from darkly harmonic to pure and crystalline. Lastly, we designed over 1 GB of ambient instruments. You’ll find a spectacular array of pads, drones, synths, swirling dreamscapes, nightmarish hellscapes and complex evolving textures. We’ve programmed the library with obsessive attention to detail and unmatched playability. You’ll find our usual front panel controls with full automation support on all critical parameters, plus multi-effects chain controls and our custom convolution reverb system. The tuned percussion presets include our powerful Uberpeggiator system and several of the ambience presets also include our dual-layer selection and real-time cross-fading system to allow an endless range of creative possibilities. Chroma BellsChroma Bells is a collection of 12 tuned steel, brass and bronze hand bells from England, India, China and Tibet. Each one has a distinct brightly or darkly resonant character, providing an awesome variety to fit any arrangement. They’re great for creating full melodic compositions, accenting percussive arrangements or even as pure sound effects. We recorded single-note rings, sustaining rolls and special muted articulations, each captured with extensive velocity-layering and round robin variations for exceptionally dynamic natural playability and beautiful acoustic realism. There are three stereo microphone positions that you can freely mix and layer. You’ll find our classic ultra-close pair of large-diaphragm studio mics for dry, crisp and strongly present tonality. There’s also a wide-spaced overhead pair of pencil omnis for a spacious room sound. Lastly, just for fun, we’ve used a pair of very rustic tin can microphones that offer a raw, yet somehow smooth mid-century vintage lofi flavor with a warm mid-range, dark tone and rounded transients. Contents The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. Hopkin Instrumentarium: Handsome DanHandsome Dan is an experimental custom creation from the mind of master instrument inventor Bart Hopkin: A stringed Zither with a unique twist. The key is a clever system for picking up and isolating the harmonic resonances in unplayed strings. This flat wooden sound box has 14 strings, with a center bridge dividing them into two segments. A magnetic pickup is placed on one side, but the strings are played primarily on the other side, usually with a slide or plectrum. When a frequency sounding on the played side matches any of the harmonics of the same string on the unplayed side, it sets up a sympathetic vibration in the unplayed segment. That’s the sound that comes through the pickup. The tone is dreamy and ethereal, with a floating, swelling presence. We’ve faithfully sampled every interesting sound we could get out of this zither, with two stereo mic positions: Contact mics, and mixed mics. Plucks, Slides in a variety of intervals, and Glisses up and down are available in all four layers to easily mix and match. With up to 8x round robin and 6 velocity layers per note, you’ll be swimming in beautiful timbres in no time. We’ve also included a wide selection of custom FX presets and plenty of our signature sound-designed ambient content, crafted from the raw acoustic source to give you complete creative freedom. The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. You have control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more. AngklungAngklung is a full-ranged traditional tuned percussion instrument originating from Indonesia, dating back to roughly the 7th Century AD. Over the past thousand years, it has spread widely throughout Southeast Asia and Polynesia and can be heard in a variety of traditional and modern genres, from gamelan orchestras to pop bands and jazz ensembles. The Angklung is actually best thought of as a set of several individual single-note instruments, each one comprised of a pair of bamboo tubes in a higher/lower octave pair sounded by a loose rattle. The result is a uniquely full, clear but short-sustaining, dry note. For this massive dedicated Angklung multi-sample library, we’ve recorded a set of 18 Angklung notes, tuned over a major scale spanning nearly 3 full octaves. We captured them up close in a dry studio and out in a large open hall with 3 mic positions (close, mid, far). We recorded each up and down stroke separately, with 48 round-robin variations per-velocity/per-note for the dry (24 up/24 down) and 16 round-robin variations per-velocity/per-note for the hall samples (8 up/8 down). We also recorded natural hand-played sustaining loops at different speeds and intensities, with smooth dynamic cross-fading between layers and adjustable release samples. And finally, we created a full collection of sustaining pads, ambiences and soundscapes from the raw bamboo Angklung recordings that complement the sonic flavor and soul of the library. Contents The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. You have control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more. Twine BassTwine Bass is comprised of a pair of very special instruments: a modified cello and a traditional Kenyan fretless stringed instrument called a Bolon. We strung the cello with rough hemp twine in various tunings and played it as a stand-up bass. The result- ing sounds are deeply sonorous, with rich, warm resonance, powerful low end and a woody, soft quality. The bolon has a cow’s horn for a neck and a gourd body, with four twine strings and a goat-skin resonating head that the strings pass directly through. In addition to deep-sampling the strings with 10x round-robin and up to 14 velocity lay- ers, we sampled a number of other sounds such as legato slides, string mutes, tuning peg pluck/twists, finger taps and brushes, and other percussive effects on the instru- ment’s body. Twine Bass is an extensive creation, containing over 2000+ samples and weighing in at over 2 GB. In typical Soundiron fashion, it comes complete with a full range of perfor- mance shaping and effects controls, allowing you to take the sound in any number of new directions. We’ve also included a collection of ambient pads, atmospheric drones and evolving soundscapes, giving this library a vast array of tonal possibilities. The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. You have control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more. Sandy Creek OrganSandy Creek Organ captures the last gasps of life from this well-worn vintage Thomas Monticello organ. Bequeathed to us by a friendly neighbor, this gem had a story to tell. It seems that in the downtime between service as a musical instrument, this particular organ also served as a home to countless little critters who left their mark all over the interior. There it sat in our old Sand Creek studio until we got it working just long enough to unlock some of its musical mysteries. In order to capture all of the character of this vintage treasure, we recorded two microphone positions: up close and room. Sandy Creek Organ includes six different sustain types (two of which feature a rotating Leslie speaker), each with round robin and releases, as well as a variety of sound effects. As always we have included a selection of carefully crafted ambiences and creative FX presets to help jumpstart your creative juices. The actual Thomas Monticello we recorded may have reached its last stop, but it will live on forever as our Sandy Creek Organ. Contents The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. You have control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more. We’ve included a key and scale lock system to constrain your notes to common scales and keys for easy melodic composition and live performance. The interface is rounded-out by our modular FX rack panel, with 27 different DSP effect modules that you can assign in any of 8 available slots, in any order that you wish. You’ll find classic phaser, flanger, delay, distortion, amp and cab simulators, compressors, EQ, rotator and so much more. The Reverb effect includes our favorite convolution reverb impulse responses, including 99 different rooms, halls, chambers and outdoor environments, plus another 40 custom FX impulses to radically transform the sound and open up whole new worlds of musical possibility. We’ve added a great bank of FX rack chain factory presets to get you started! Features

Fatty 311FATTY 311 honors the tonal legacy of the Conn Prelude 311 organ. Our lovely Prelude had a real spring reverb unit, two 44 key keyboards, a Min-O-Matic rhythm machine, and tons of emulated sounds of clarinet, trombone, violin, guitar tremolo, and more. FATTY 311 honors the tonal legacy of the Conn Prelude 311 organ. C.G. Conn Ltd., sometimes called Conn Instruments or commonly just Conn, was an American manufacturer incorporated in 1915. Its early business was based primarily on brass instruments manufactured in Elkhart, Indiana. During the 1950s, its best seller became the electric organ. After the household organ craze died down (50-70), Conn went bankrupt and was eventually bought by Steinway in 2000. Charles G. Conn was a Civil War veteran of the U.S. Army who established a grocery and baking business in Elkhart, Indiana after the war. He also played cornet in the local community band. He started out inventing cornet mouthpieces, and by 1905, Conn had the world’s largest musical instrument factory producing a full line of wind instruments, strings, percussion, and a portable organ. Our lovely Prelude has a real spring reverb unit, two 44 key keyboards, a Min-O-Matic rhythm machine, and tons of emulated sounds of clarinet, trombone, violin, guitar tremolo, and more. The instrument’s classic wooden body echoes the popular aesthetics of the 1970s and its beefy, warm analog sound can cut through any mix. We sampled its best sustains, staccatos, and effects in three microphone positions to bring your midi to life. You can easily use vibrato and a special “Octave” knob, which spices up your tone by smoothly rolling in lower and higher octaves. We’ve also included tons of custom FX patches and sound-designed ambient synth pads created from the source to make this library extraordinarily playable and versatile. Whether you’re looking to recreate an old video game sound, huge synth bass tone or play straight from the hymnal, Fatty 311 can get you there! Contents The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. You have control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more. We’ve included a key and scale lock system to constrain your notes to common scales and keys for easy melodic composition and live performance. The interface is rounded-out by our modular FX rack panel, with 27 different DSP effect modules that you can assign in any of 8 available slots, in any order that you wish. Sick 2A Horror Instrument & Sound FX Library For Kontakt Sick Volume 2 was designed with horror sound-design in mind. This library is a one stop shop for eerie and disturbing paranormal sound-design, including subterranean clanks, booms, thuds, cracks, drags, stomps, steps, creaks and thumps in the dark- ness; demonic creature howls, moans, breaths and growls; hellish and twisted sound- scapes, pads, drones and ambiences; and a variety of terrifyingly vivid EVP recordings (some of them quite real). To capture the raw materials for this sonic descent, We explored the bowels of an abandoned Civil War/World War I-era naval artillery bunker (mind you, not the same bunker that we visited in Rust II – I guess you could say we love us some abandoned bunkers.) and a World War II/Cold War-era decommissioned warship. All in all, you get over 200 Grade-A production-quality horror sound effects and sound beds for about the price of a pound of raw hamburger. Delicious! The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. You have control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more. Aeolian Fan HarpAn Experimental 12 Stringed Instrument & Sound-Design library built for Kontakt Aeolian Fan Harp is a unique hand-made instrument created by Dust Bowl Guitars. Based on the concept of a traditional ancient Greek wind harp, this 12-stringed non- fretted hollow body instrument incorporates a 120mm PC fan under the strings near the bridge to produce its own wind! And rather than nylon strings, it uses steel-wound strings and electric guitar pickups. When plucked while the fan is off, it has a sound similar to a baritone electric guitar. Powering up the fan generates a lush steady drone, but the real magic begins when you bow, scrape, gliss or excite the strings and set off extraordinary cinematic clusters, sound effects and undulating drones. This experiment was built over three long months and sampled in outstanding detail by Soundiron contributor John Valasis and Konstantinos Sakkas. This nearly 14GB library includes a close stereo microphone position as well as a direct stereo pickup line out, so you can dial in an electric or acoustic sound just the way you like it with the help of our handy modular FX rack, full of amp and speaker simulators, multi-FX and custom convolution reverb impulses. The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. You have control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more. Alpha OrganAlpha Organ is a beautifully sampled pair of pipe organs recorded at St. Paul’s Church in SF. They offer lush sound, powerful bass, a huge variety of organ presets, sound design, mic positions, tonal options, custom FX and very intuitive and flexible GUI control features. The “lower” organ, built by Kilgen Church Organ Company of Saint Louis, MO, was originally water-powered, but has since been converted to an electric blower-driven system. The console is in the south isle near the side entrance and its pipes are hidden behind the altar with the blower and machinery under the floor of the Apse, allowing the lowest pedal notes to resonate through the floor, seeming to shake the very foundation. The upper organ, far larger and more elaborate, was built by the Felix F. Shoenstein & Sons Organ company of San Francisco. It is arrayed high above the portcullis and Narthex in a mezzanine between the two bell towers. Where the first organ – our “Alpha” Organ – is sweet and silky in its tone, the second – our “Omega” Organ – is thunderous and mighty in its body and energy, with a more powerful blower, larger console and many more pipes. We feel that this space has extraordinary acoustic properties bordering on the mystical. Each time we’ve recorded there, we’ve experienced waves of strange synchronicities. The entire hall seems to sing as if one great living instrument. To honor the high strangeness that the space seems to evoke, we’ve enriched this library with a very wide selection of sound designed ambiences, leads, pads, drones and custom effect presets, delving deeply into psychoacoustic and metaphysical aesthetics. The church was built by its own perishoners over a period of two decades, starting in 1897, delayed by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and finally completed in 1911, using stone salvaged from the ruined city itself. It has a lush, pristine quality full of spacious airiness and crystal clarity, without a hint of cloudiness or oversaturation. This reverberant hall is one of our very favorite recording locations, home to our acclaimed Requiem Light Symphonic Choir, the Native Instruments Symphony Series Brass Ensemble and Solo collections and many other classic Soundiron libraries. We’ve packed the user interface with powerful sound-shaping controls to give you complete flexibility. Controls for volume swell, attack and release time, sample start offset, vibrato, and sound bank selection are included in all presets. The main preset also features a microphone mixer and an octave effect. The Layered preset includes 4 independent sound layers, each with a full set of parameters that can be linked, automated and customized. The first three layers are the Close (Mic 1), Mid (Mic 2) and Far (Mic 3) microphone positions. The fourth layer is the Ambiences layer. We used various sound-design tricks to morph the sounds from our journey into 30 different tonal and dissonant pads, synth-tones and ambient dreamscapes. They can be played by themselves, or used to add texture and body to the primary sounds. In the advanced settings pull-down window, you’ll also find an adaptable per-layer LFO system, with selectable LFO shape, modulation target parameter, speed, intensity, tempo-syncing and fade-in time. You can also apply your choice of 13 lowpass, high-pass and FX filters, with assignable modulation targets such as velocity, mod-wheel, expression, after-touch, key position and step-sequencer table control. Our customizable arpeggiator features a built-in velocity sequencer table and control over arp direction, note timing, swing, randomization and duration. The built-in modular FX rack window offers 27 different DSP effect modules that you can assign in any of 8 available slots, in any order that you wish. You’ll find classic phase, flanger, delay, distortion, amp and cab simulators, compressors, EQ, rotator and so much more. The Reverb effect includes 99 of our own convolution reverb impulse presets. We’ve captured a huge variety of different rooms, halls, chambers and outdoor environments, along with 139 unique, strange and creative special effect impulses to completely transform the sound and open up whole new worlds of musical possibility. Hopkin Instrumentarium: AquaaltAquaalt is an experimental custom creation from the mind of master instrument inventor Bart Hopkin: A unique Lute with a steel bowl resonator. This handcrafted contraption’s bridge delivers the string vibrations directly to the bowl’s flat bottom. As the strings sound, a small amount of water moves in the bowl, causing ever-changing resonances and creating unusual, dreamy sounds. Made of wood and metal, Aquaalt has a richly acoustic essence that resounds brightly through each note. With the body mounted on a swaying stand, the player can rock the lute to keep the water in the bowl moving. It can be played by plucking or bowing, occasionally with a slide to vary the string pitches. We’ve faithfully sampled every interesting sound we could get out of this water lute, with two stereo mic positions: Close, and direct line in. Plucks, Bow Long, Bow Short, Bow Sul Ponticello, and Glisses up and down are available in all four layers to easily mix and match. Contents The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility.
