Phrasebox

Phrasebox is a phrase arpeggiator that gives you control over the playback like never before.

With it’s DAW-like piano roll you can create expressive, layered melodies that aren’t limited in timing and length compared to traditional step arpeggiators.

The notes of the piano roll correspond to the pitch order of notes, with “special” notes (like the loudest or quietest notes played), which let you control exactly which notes you want to play. It also features a lock to key option so your transposed notes are never out of key, and the included controller window lets you also send MIDI CC data out to your instruments.

Phrasebox also features generation options, so you can generate unlimited unique phrases at the click of a button.

Phrase Arpeggiation

Turn simple chord sequences into expressive melody lines and musical phrases. Simply design your phrase in the piano roll, and Phrasebox will play back the pattern using whatever notes you input.

You have complete control over how the phrase is played. Select notes in pitch order, or use the special selectors – such as the loudest/quietest or first-played/last-played. Your phrase will be played back with sample-accurate timing.

DAW-Like Control

Phrasebox isn’t like traditional step sequencers or arpeggiators – you have full control over the timing and length of notes as you would in your DAW. Alongside velocity controls, you can also adjust each note’s transposition, and even select a random chance that the note will play.

If your transpositions end up falling between the notes of a scale, you can enable the “Lock To Key” feature to make sure your riffs are always in tune.

Controller Editing

Alongside note patterns, you can also send MIDI controller data. With up to 8 assignable controllers, you can design everything from piano parts using the hold pedal, to automated synth filters and pitch bends to make the perfect melody line.

Generation

If you want quick access to an unlimited number of phrases, you can use the built-in generation tools to quickly get inspiration. Simply set how you want the notes and controller data to be generated, and Phrasebox will create a unique phrase pattern with just the click of a button.

Phrasebox works with most DAWs that can run VST or AU plugins. Ubuntu and Mac versions are 64-bit only. Due to MIDI routing limitation, Phrasebox is not compatible with Reason, Maschine, or VST3.

Complexer 2

Complexer 2 is a dynamics powerhouse, letting you take complete control of your track.

Three Processors – Six Modes

Complexer 2 features three independently controlled dynamics processors, each with a choice of six different modes: Upward and downward compressors, upward and downward expanders, a limiter, and a gate.

Each of the three stages can be processed in a variety of different configurations, including parallel chaining, stereo and mid/side, and multi-band.

Dynamics Chaining

Complexer 2 lets you run the three dynamic processors through a configurable chain. You can have all three in series, or run two in parallel with the third either before or after.

Full Control

Each of the processors feature a vast amount of control. Along with the familiar attack, hold and release, each processor has an advanced look-ahead section to capture peaks ahead of time.

There are also three detection modes: peak, RMS and average. Peak is perfect for limiting, and RMS allows smooth detection – great for compression.

Each processor can also be controlled via an external sidechain.

Multiband

With Complexer 2, you can run each of the processors in their own adjustable frequency band. Not limited to just compression, you can also do multi-band limiting, expanding, and gating, allowing effects ranging from mixing and mastering applications, to creative effects.

Mid/Side and Stereo

There are two separate modes specifically for stereo dynamics processing – mid/side, and stereo.

In stereo mode, you can process the left and right channels independently, and in mid/side mode, you can apply different dynamics to the mid or side channels of the audio.

Complexer 2 should work in any DAW that can run VST or AU plugins, on any dual core system with at least 1GB of RAM. Always try the demo first!

Pivot

Pivot is a powerful tilt equaliser, allowing you to quickly shift the spectral content of your audio.

Mid/Side modes allow you to adjust the stereo content of your audio separately, allowing you to clean up muddy stereo bass, or crisp up the wide treble in your master tracks.

Shift Your Weight

Pivot is a simple to use tilt EQ, allowing you to shift the spectral content of your track around a mid-point like a seesaw. A little bass heavy? Turn the dial to the left. Treble a bit loud? Move it to the right. It features an adjustable slope and mid-way point to get the exact balance you need.

Mid/Side EQ

Along with normal mono or stereo processing, Pivot offers a mid/side mode. Useful for making your master sound more immersive, you can brighten up the side channel for a bright and wide feel, or reduce the level of stereo bass, tidying up the stereo spread of your bass frequencies.

Lightweight

As far as consuming your CPU goes, Pivot isn’t hungry. You can load up multiple instances on multiple tracks without grinding your workstation to a halt. It also has the option to do simple shelf boost and cuts, meaning you can replace your sluggish and unintuitive EQs when you just want a quick adjustment.

DeeQ

Dynamic EQ

DeeQ lets you adjust the frequency, gain, and Q value of the filter dynamically, either from the incoming audio, or from an external sidechain. You can apply a pre-filter EQ to the detector to only respond to specific frequencies, letting you truly have control of the sound.

Sidechain Detection

Using sidechain detection you can dynamically sculpt your audio using another audio channel as the source. For example, you can automatically remove mid range frequencies when the vocal is playing, or remove the sub bass when the kick hits.

Mid/Side

With the addition of mid/side modes, you can dynamically adjust the stereo spread of your audio. Make the bass mono when a kick plays, or widen the treble over a vocal take.

IN DETAIL

DeeQ is a single-band dynamic EQ filter that automatically adjusts the parameters of the EQ based on the incoming envelope or an external sidechain.

With DeeQ you can do everything from small adjustments like making room in the mix, to creative wah type effects.

Maximal 3

Loudness Maximiser

Maximal 3 is a true-peak brickwall limiter, soft clipper, and broadcast standard loudness meter.

Maximal 3 is a loudness maximiser, designed to limit and maximise your track. Featuring both a true-peak brickwall limiter and a variable shape soft clipper, Maximal 3 can increase the overall loudness of your track, without destroying the sonic quality.

The limiter features true-peak lookahead detection, meaning inter-sample peaks will never overshoot and clip. With four different modes, and controls for attack and release, the shape of the limiter can achieve anything from transparent limiting with transient preservation, to warm bus gluing or pumping.

True-Peak Limiting

Maximal 3 features true-peak, lookahead, brickwall limiting. This means that no matter how hard you push it, there will never be any overshoots from intersample peaks.

With four different limiter modes, and attack and release controls, Maximal 3 can be used for anything from clean and transparent loudness maximising, to gluing a bus together.

Variable Soft Clipping

Clipping can be used to shave off rampant peaks before limiting, or used as a creative tool to add a bit of warmth to tracks.

An adjustable curve from hard to soft allows chopping transients or adding saturation to both individual tracks and whole mixes.

Loudness Metering

Maximal 3 features a dedicated loudness metering section, displaying the LUFS and true-peak value of the signal, based on the ITU-R BS.1770-4 specification.

Additionally, you can set the target loudness of the meters to any level, such as for mastering specifically the EBU R128 standard.

Oversampling

To help limit aliasing and catch inter-sample peaks, Maximal 3 offers up to 16x oversampling.

Using linear-phase resampling filters, our high-quality oversampling algorithm cleanly upsamples the signal before applying the limiting, before cleanly bringing the sample rate back to the original.

Maximal 3 should work in any DAW that can run VST, AU or AAX plugins, on any dual-core system with at least 1GB of RAM.
