Koch Amps Studiotone 20 Combo
Guitar Combo Amp
The amps of the Dutch company Koch are no longer an insider tip. Nice tube sound, at the same time flexible and settled in a fair price class - these are the most important infos in advance. The studiotone combo could attract all guitarists who want to use the warmth and distortion of a power amplifier at tolerable volumes. On the other hand, this amp with its 20 W also has clean reserves, which should be sufficient in most cases. Which brings us to the clean channel, which has quite Fender-like qualities: You can choose from fat to sparkling sounds here, with 2 voicing switches (2x for mid, 3x for treble), which effectively modify the sound. The overdrive channel on the other hand really takes off - strong, warm tube sound located between the rough British and settled American sound. The gain will be enough for most people. The Overdrive Boost channel, boosts the same sound even stronger and thus also hi-gain applications are covered. The 3 sounds share one equalizer - in the studio no problem anyway. But also for live applications it is no problem, because the gain staging between clean and overdrive is already set. The 12" VG12 Koch loudspeaker installed here is built in cooperation with Jensen and it fits perfectly to this small power cube. A highlight not only in the studio, but also when you have a quite delicate situation with the volume live: A recording-out with two simulated speaker types and microphone positions is located at the back. If you have to play silently, one can switch on the power soak and send the signal directly to the mixer - completely without any noise. Excellent tube sound with many useful features - not just for the studio!

Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue
Guitar Combo Tube Amp
It is not without reason that the Fender amps of the tweed era (named after the amp's fabric cover) have such a great reputation as the ideal amplifiers for blues and rock 'n' roll. On the one hand, they deliver crisp cleans at a moderate volume, which is often hard to find. On the other hand, turning up the volume releases a soft, creamy distortion - lying across the fine line between clean and crunch - that is simply unrivalled. The Reissue Blues Deluxe offers two channels, one of which is predestined for the clean department, while the other can be made to sing at a civil volume by adjusting the master volume. Practically all good sounds between Bassman and Deluxe can be produced. With the Eminence 12" speaker, the amp has enough power to fill small clubs with plenty of sound. The name says it all: The Blues Deluxe is an outstanding amp (not only, but especially) for blues and all other styles where warm, harmonically distorted sounds are desired.

Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb
All Tube Electric Guitar Amplifier
After giant racks with pre- and power amplifiers and expensive studio effects have been state of the art in the 80s, more traditional systems (head + 4X12 or a combo and a handful of stomp boxes) are more common at the moment again. A small amplifier keeps reappearing again and again: The Fender Deluxe Reverb. Compared to the larger Twin Reverb the Deluxe has a lot less power and has a harmonic overdrive even at moderate volume levels. Of course, great clean tones are possible, but the versatile "sweet distortion" is what so many guitarists appreciate and love with the Deluxe. Therefore the amp is the number 1 for many blues musicians, as well as for modern super guitarrists, such as Michael Landau. The fender-typical spring reverb and a tube vibrato effect allow even more "vintage"- sound variants.

Marshall JVM215C
Guitar comboGone are the days when Marshall users simply ran a hand across the dials and turned everything up to 10 to get that classic Rock sound (tinnitus included). The JVM215 is nominally a 50-watt amplifier with two channels, but it also has a lot more to offer than appearances suggest.
Let’s start with the most important thing: The sound. Besides having a great clean sound (Clean/Crunch channel in “green” mode), this amplifier is a quintessential Marshall and as such gives you everything from vintage Plexi-style sounds through to modern high-gain tones. Another sound you can get is a rather atypical but great-sounding “American” clean sound that other British amps rarely produce. What do the colours mean? Let us explain. The Clean/Crunch channel features three variations: Green, orange, and red (which may well be familiar from other Marshall products). The orange setting takes the sound in a Plexi direction, while red produces a crunchy 1980s-style sound. The Overdrive channel continues where the Clean/Crunch channel left off and provides gain in every dimension – with Marshall’s characteristic bite and no muddiness. A tamer, more creamy sound is also easy to dial in if you prefer, however. On top of all this, a programmable four-way footswitch is included that can be used to control all of the amplifier’s switching functions. This 1x12“ combo delivers a compact, open, and surprisingly full sound in an easily transportable package – so it combines great sounds with outstanding flexibility at a fair price.
