The MXR Distortion+ was one of the first good sounding distortion pedals in the 70s (the name distortion is actually misleading - it was one of the first overdrives).

With the MXR 78 Custom Badass Distortion, the good old tradition was combined with new, sensible features. For example, a tone control for tonal flexibility and a crunch switch provide the possibility of choosing between two different distortion characteristics.

The MXR 77 is an even more advanced version, with a 100 Hz controller that can make the sound thinner or ensure stacking wumms. The Badass always sounds tube-like and musical!

But modern times will not make the MXR redundant, and so the MXR Distortion M116 Fullbore Metal is a (if required) metallic-sounding knallhartes Metal Distortion unit with which you can make guitar sounds glow.

At the heart of the pedal is the sweepable mid control. Here the lava frequency can be searched for and mercilessly boosted; but of course tamer frequencies can also be selected (lowering works as well). The Fullbore Metal is therefore also versatile in all kinds of healthy hardness.

When it comes to the classic pedals of rock music, the Tubescreamer must be near the front of the queue. At the end of the 70s, the Ibanez Tube Screamer 808 appeared, an overdrive with truly tube-like characteristics, creating a sensation. Its successor, the TS 9, was also well received and has appeared since then on innumerable Pedalboards of the very biggest guitarists. Since then, the TS9 has been reissued a few years ago, and it was only a matter of time before the still much-demanded "Original " Screamer - precisely the TS 808 - finally made it as a reissue.
