C&S deliver another fine Reaktor instrument for Ambient / Experimental productions. It’s based on randomizing granular synthesis (2 samplers) and effects to build long evolving soundscapes.

Integrated are 200 samples, 100 of these are synthesizer harmonies/ melodies and the other 100 are field recordings.

The latter feature recordings of nature surroundings from different world locations, insects, motorbike engine, chantings, underwater sounds (hydrophone mic), inside-object-sounds (contact mic), wind chimes, water bottles, metal objects, flutes and more.

4 effects are available to enhance the sounds:

All together the instrument has 17 parameter options to randomize, these are ongoing and make it possible to create ever changing soundscapes.

Cycles & Spots present the follow up to Rhythm, a percussion instrument for Native Instruments’ Reaktor.

800 fresh new loops are integrated in this version which also offers extended functionality. 8 sample players can be separately manipulated in loop range (so polyrhythms can be made), start, frequency, playback modes & speeds.

Rhythm 2 also let’s you now use a 4 band equalizer and apply 4 effects for each player separately.

Snapshots (presets) can be triggered via MIDI input and like this bigger structures (song mode) can be crafted.

Cycles & Spots have created a generative (self-playing) wavetable synthesizer for NI Reaktor.

It is perfect for Ambient / Abstract music productions and can generate ever modulating sounds. It features 2 wavetable oscillators that are triggered by an LFO each. These syncable LFOS have various shapes including sample & hold and can be cross-modulated. They also can influence the wave positions. These LFOs bring lots of life into the potentially ever modulating sound. Random pitch can be applied and also quantized to certain scales and keys.

Last but not least 4 added effects (frequency shifter with its own 3rd LFO, grain delay with more random options, diffusion delay, reverb) round up the output and make it sound spacy/ roomy and dimensional in terms of the stereo field.

Spawn is great for sound design and creating soundscapes or effect sounds, both harmonic and disharmonic.

Cycles & Spots presents a follow up to their Groove Machine instrument for Native Instruments Reaktor.

Groove Machine 2 features 8 samplers filled with 800 one shot drum, bass and chord samples.

These all have a sequencer (volume, pitch, length control), ADSR envelope, frequency shift and mixer controls. On top of that, 4 effects can be applied (reverb, delay, distortion, flanger/phaser).

Another main feature is a randomization option for each sequencer.

Cycles & Spots are back with another instrument for Native Instruments Reaktor, a poly synth especially handy for Ambient / experimental music productions, useable in other genres as well though.

The main idea behind this synth is modulating the sounds over time, hence the name Motion. This is achieved by influencing the waveforms of oscillator one and two by LFOs. These have various shapes (sinus to random) and can be synced or run freely. The final icing on the cake is executed by the effects, especially the powerful reverb and delay.

Cycles & Spots present a loop mangler ensemble for NI Reaktor focusing towards the production of Deep House and Deep Tech trax. 100 loops are included and 50 presets are ready to be used in your productions.

One loop sampler (For rhythm)and one granular sampler (For harmony) are manipulating their loop samples to make them sound totally new, so the presets can be drastically changed or new ones can be built.

Optionally you also can load your own samples via the sample editor and start twisting them. Each sampler can sequence the sample position, pitch and volume (Each with 50 pattern memory and randomize play is possible, too) plus adding & altering reverb and delay.

C&S created something special in their headquarters, a groove machine for Native Instruments Reaktor. It works similar to a drum machine and features basses and sounds (Mostly chords) on top. 

20 already programmed song patterns are included. Instead only triggering notes on/off , this instrument triggers velocity and also 5 different pitch values (X/Y buttons).

You can create complete Deep Tech trax with this, either arranging them in in your favorite DAW by snapshots / patterns per MIDI or by simply recording the audio output.

A mixer with a reverb and a delay is built inside although you can use separated stereo outs for each element inside your DAW, too. As it is possible to trigger snapshots by MIDI notes, interesting grooves can be archived.

All elements can be shuffled separately to get complex grooving sequences. Opposed to all the features it is actually easily and quickly to handle plus a lot of fun!

With Sample Switch you create a new loop from 4 imported ones (Drag & Drop), as you switch between them while setting up several parameters like loop position, pitch, randomization and such.

The depths of the engine – how voice swarming works

Voice swarming works by generating a swarm of variations for each parameter. This swarm is controlled by the centre, pattern and amount controls. Close swarms behave more like a monosynth, distant swarms more like a polysynth. Individual parameters can swarm in different densities. For example the pitches could be very close while the filter cutoffs are far apart. The relative positions of each voice to each other is called a swarm pattern. Swarm patterns can be randomised individually or all at once using the Randomise buttons. The last 16 randomisations are automatically stored and recalled using the History Wheel 

Cycles & Spots developed another fine instrument for NI Reaktor

A sampler filled with 1980s flavored samples (270 Loops = 90 Kits with 3 tracks each) and a chop engine which let’s you play slices via MIDI input and process these further. This sample slicer is usable for any 80s related genres like Vaporwave, Synthpop and also to flavor genres like Hip Hop and even House music productions with that nostalgia feel.

A reel tape and vinyl simulation is added to get make the sound Lo-Fi and more authentic.

Additionally you can dial in a delay and a reverb effect. You can chop up the kits up to 64 slices and each of the kit’s 3 tracks can be offset individually. All controls can be mapped (Reaktor standard) and therefor sequenced modulation can make your creations more alive and arrangeable. Each Track can be routed to external outputs as well. You could fill in your own samples if they consist of 3 fitting tracks, although not intended.

Another cool sample masher for Reaktor from Cycles & Spots, this time tailored towards Ambient/Soundscapes productions with over 2GB of selected loops.

This instrument layers up to 4 samplers (loop players), can offset the playpack positions and add effects and lots of modulations. Each of the four players has a dedicated modulation matrix with 8 destinations to make the sound feel more alive and mutating over a long time span.

For this 3 LFOs with 5 shapes including random ones (brown noise, sample & hold) can be routed to 8 destinations per player. Of course a nice delay and a smooth reverb are implemented as well as a frequency shifter and filters for each player (lopass, bandpass, hipass, notch).

The instrument comes with 10 presets but really you can yourself create easily and quickly many new ones while having a blast.
