If you can play as fast as Al Di Meola, you need a pickup that can handle it at all and convey nuances in the playing even at the highest speed. Al didn't want any pickups that were too hot, the model for the neck position has even less output than its counterpart for the bridge. Here, a lot of emphasis was placed on pleasant, clear highs; overall, the result is a sound that is rich in overtones (striking for the neck position), differentiated and warm at the same time.

For guitarists who don't want a high-gain screamer, but would like their classic sound to be a little hotter and more powerful. A particularly popular combination: a PAF (143059) on the neck and a PAF Pro on the bridge. That way, the volume balance between neck and bridge pickups is preserved. A quick reminder: since the strings vibrate more vigorously closer to the middle of the string, the neck pickup (with the same configuration) is always a little louder.

The DiMarzio Tone Zone with F (Floyd Rose vibrato) spacing is a truly loud humbucker that can even teach lazy amps to sing and roar.
