The EKO Stradivarius is one of the rarest and hardest to find string synthesisers from the 1970’s.

It has an incredibly rich and vibrant sound all of its own.

I personally spent a long while hunting one of these synths down and eventually found one, but it was in Italy and had to be shipped here. I could not find one in the UK!

The EKO was released in the 1970’s and used by the likes of Vangelis during his 70’s live shows, the EKO produces beautiful and haunting string sounds of that era. Our version will allow for you to easily create those sounds and go way beyond what the original hardware can do.

Each of the 6 original sections of the EKO stradivarius has been sampled in great detail.

Extra Controls

We have added many, many extra features to allow for greater sounds to be created from the core sound of the EKO Stradivarius. We also added a special set of Ensemble processed samples for a very rich and vibrant sound. Both sample sets can be freely mixed with each other for extra creativity.

How about each section panning independently of each other?

Each section also has independent filter shapes with a huge range of filter types to choose from, vowel filters, phasers filters and each synth section (all 6) has them – lots of scope for sound creation or use the snapshots that come supplied which will give a wide range of sounds that can be tweaked and modified by you.

Berlin-based Soundtrax and UK sound designers Sub51 have teamed up to create a new, intuitive and inspiring Drag ‘n’ Drop sample-based Kontakt instrument which allows dynamic blending of four imported custom sound sources to create multilayered complex sounds that morph and evolve in an organic way.

XY Morphing

Drop Pad’s XY-Morph movements can be recorded and exported and imported to or from disk, all four samples can be edited and modulated by the onboard Filters and LFOs. Seven of the best Kontakt effects and an optional Arp will give the sound the final touch – and all samples and almost every movement or modulation can be instantly tempo-synced. 
 
Additional features include a Play button (accessible from all windows) for auditioning loops and it is now possible to further modulate the path of the morph cursor using further Warp functions, which open up new  possibilities for modifying rhythms. An Isolate function now allows one or more of the pads to be locked so that its playback level remains constant, for example, when you want your kick and snare patterns to remain steady but still have the toppers assigned to other pads following the Morph path.
 
Drop Pad uses Kontakt’s new MIR technology to automatically detect tonal material during import and adjusts the pitch of the audio file. Sample editing options include individual controls related to the pitch, envelope, pan position, playback direction, loop and sample start. The playback engine can be set to the classic ‘Sampler’ or ‘TM Pro’ Mode (incl. tempo/speed settings) to provide convenient tempo adjustment.

Mod & FX

The Modulation section contains a low-pass filter, a peak filter and a high-pass filter, each to be assigned to one or more of the four sample pads where it is possible to modulate the filter setting via a choice of LFO shapes allowing both the X and Y parameters of each pad’s cursor to be changed during playback — independently for all three filters. Other modulation features include independent Pan and Pitch, both with a choice of waveforms. Complete Mod setups can be quickly stored and recalled with via the 9 FX preset buttons.

The FX section contains seven global effects: Reverb, Choral (Chorus), Flair (Flanger), Phasis (Phaser), Overdrive (Van51), Compression (Supercharger GT) and Replika Delay. A special FX Warp pad allows the X and Y axes each to be assigned to an FX parameter where the rate, modulation shape and tempo-related speed of the FX modulation can be adjusted.
A simple EQ allows further shaping of the sound. Complete FX setups (all FX and EQ settings) can be quickly stored and recalled with via the 9 FX preset buttons

Drop Pad (Original Edition) comes with a 850MB library of high quality on-board Snapshots and Samples featuring Cinematic Soundscapes, Bass and Drum Loops, Pads, Raw Textures, Sound Effects and Arps. CLASSIC ARPEGGIATOR

RootBass TANG‘s arpeggiator is bright, and intense, and captures the iconic sound of vintage electronica in a fresh new style. Filtering, noise modeling, effects, and subtle modulation are central to capturing the feel of fluctuating voltages, scratchy pots, failing transistors, and aged circuits. The humanization feature (instrument mode) adds another dimension by shifting note volume, pitch, and filtering.

MECHANICAL BASS

Independently selectable key-down and key-up articulations offer separate decay, filter, tuning, and velocity sensitivity controls, including fine control over their position relative to the bass’s attack and release. Similarly, control the noise type, volume, envelope, filtering, and velocity sensitivity. The instrument offers poly/mono modes and a simple, classic legato mode. Each element can be bypassed.

TAPE ECHO/FX & MIXING

The unique character of tape echo pairs up beautifully with classic rotator, phaser, flanger, and chorus effects to color the bass tones. Three output mix types shape the instrument’s essential style: overdrive + amp/cabinet impulse, classic tube amp, and classic UK guitar amp. Finally, tape saturation and compression give warmth and body while classic mono and modern stereo reverb impulses put space around it.

A total of almost 400 convolution impulses include vinyl/radio/tape/digital noise and static, particulate and granular effects, digital and acoustic sound effects, frequency modeling, mic effects and chorusing, stereo imaging, and new, pitch-based impulses for adding harmonic interest to rhythms.

Tempus is a dual voice Granular instrument inspired by the audio space where tempo becomes pitch and pitch becomes tempo.

Synth Magic Retropolis is a Kontakt instrument (Full version of Kontakt is required 5.8.1 and higher).

A collection of Synthesizers were used in the creation of Retropolis such as: Red Sound Dark Star, Alpha Juno2, Kawai SX240, Arp Odyssey, Moog MG-1.

All samples are placed under the control of a very easy to use interface and are accessed via a menu system.

Retropolis has a full effects section and also comes with an Arpeggiator which can also be used to modulate filter cutoff.

During the making of the presets we realised just how versatile Volt is. A whole cinematic soundtrack suitable for modern film scoring could easily be created using Volt, it also excels at creating atmospheres and mood.

Volt Meter

Volt has a special Volt Meter dial that is the centre of the action. Most of the controls on the front panel can be controlled by the movement of the Volt Meter.

Simply select from the front panel which controls are to be controlled by Volt Meter and then select the depth/range of the control – Moving the voltmeter will then control those active dials. You can also assign the Volt Meter to your Modwheel or any other external controller dial and control many dials with the Volt Meter.

Most of the included snapshots have already been setup to respond to the Volt Meter – Give it a whirl and experiment.

It is easy to create stunning patches with Volt, and by clicking the Volt symbol in the centre of the interface you can randomise patches and let the chaos of the universe play a hand in the sounds you make.

The Boom Chak is a classic analogue-style percussion synth with six editable drum instruments, a programmable rhythm sequencer, low and hi pass filters and six effects.

Each drum sound has dedicated controls like volume, type, pan, pitch, decay, modulation or additional amount of noise, plus six effect switches. This makes the Boom Chak an extremely flexible electronic percussion tool and a really cool instrument to play with.

The effects (Convolution Reverb, Replika Delay, Chorus, Lo-Fi, Flanger, Overdrive) can be added to any individual drum sound or to all sounds at once. The effects are quickly accessible and all effects are editable.

The Master Control contains two filters (Low Pass Filter with an Envelope Follower and LFO, and a Hi Pass Filter), global Pitch Control (-12 to +12 halftones) and Velocity Sensitivity control.

The Auto Rhythm Editor is a simple but effective pattern creation tool with a total of 12 patterns (each pattern has 2 x 16 steps). The Auto Rhythm patterns can be triggered by a key or with a click. The tempo will be synced automatically to the master of the DAW.

The V2 update contains a new NKI, the BC-2000, a more digital sounding version of the BC-2.

A Journey Into The Analogue World

Inspired by old tapes in the attic, the golden age of analogue synths worn down by the hands of time and a true love of pushing the boundaries of what analogue can do, Blossom by Audiowarp is the result of years of recording, re-recording and twisting countless numbers of vintage synths to produce something truly unique.

Manipulating Sounds

All the sounds within Blossom were recorded and post affected using only vintage outboard analogue equipment.

Divergent Audio Group took vintage analogue synths and using various recording and post-production methods such as tape compression and artefact manipulation then created an entirely new set of amazing, unique sounds. Dusty, ghostly, sombre and distant these sounds can only be created in the analogue world.

Blossom features a five-page GUI including an FX, Modulation, Arpeggiator, Presets and main quad sample engine page. 228 sample patches, over 1300 incredible never heard before individual samples.

4 Source XY Pad

Blossom features 4 individual sound sources which can be blended and manipulated in various ways. Using the central XY pad you can dynamically morph between layers. Alternatively use the X and Y dials to constrain to horizontal or vertical axis only. Assign a CC controller to the X or Y dials for instant fun!

SEQUENCER ONE is a digital recreation of an 8-step CV/Gate sequencer classic: The rare SEQUENCER DRUM, produced by EHX during the early eighties.

It’s a little silver, black and green metal box with only one single square analogue oscillator, eight steps and a few simple controls for pitch, decay and speed rate.

It was originally named SEQUENCER DRUM because it had to be triggered/started with the hit of a drumstick on its trigger pad.

NOTE: The Full version of Kontakt 5.8.1 or above is required. Not for Kontakt Player. Will also work with the Full version of Kontakt 6

CLASSIC SOUNDS

At first sight, the SEQUENCER DRUM looked much like a toy instrument, whereas it was in fact capable of producing complex percussive synth patterns, deep bass sounds and wild roaming arpeggios. Its tonal range spread over eight octaves, and it sounded amazing.

Now, over 35 years later, we’re bringing this little box back to life as a soft Kontakt synth. We changed its name to SEQUENCER ONE (because you don’t really need a drumstick anymore) and added some cool and useful features, all the while keeping its original minimalistic approach and iconic sound.

With the master patch you can play the pads and the legato/sustains at the same time, letting you choose which ranges of the keyboard you want them to sound at. The creator of The Bandoneon, the film composer Guillermo Guareschi, presents a new and exciting Kontakt Library intended to become a singular tool for composers and musicians.

The Ronroco belongs to the family of the Charangos, a typical South-American instrument. It is like a Charango but bigger in size with a deep and warmer sound. It was brought to the international scene by the two-time Oscar winner, Gustavo Santaolalla. He uses the Ronroco in almost all his projects, such as “The Last of Us”, “Brokeback Mountain”, “Babel” and Michael Mann’s film, “The Insider” among others.

FELT 54 is an intimate felt piano with character, it’s not the conventional bright and harmonically complex upright piano.

Stereo sampled from a felt customized upright Yamaha U3 1975 that has been modified in a way that makes the tone more pure, yet preserves its harmonic richness. A 0.8mm felt strip was added between the hammers and strings, and the middle section’s tone of the piano was simplified by muting 2 out of 3 strings per note. The instrument was captured by 3 microphones resulting in a very intimate stereo image.

FELT 54 covers a range of 54 notes, the sweet spot range of this particular piano.
