The power of spectral processing

Traditional delay plugins feature a simple feedback delay, which produces identical copies of the original signal, sometimes with a possibility of filtering, distortion or other basic effects.

MSpectralDelay lets you transform individual frequencies. First it lets you control the delay time, feedback, panorama and level (EQ) for each frequency. MSpectralDelay also provides complex spectral transformations – pitch, frequency shift, formants, plus an actual frequency to frequency transformation and level to level transformation.

Lexicon PSP 42 is a high-quality digital stereo delay and phrase sampler plug-in based on the legendary Lexicon PCM 42 processor famous for its distinctive sound and unique concept.

Lexicon PSP 42 has been carefully designed to accurately reproduce the flexibility and warmth of this renowned classic. This has been accomplished by incorporating precise tape saturation algorithm and a delay line operating with variable sampling rate which simulates physical properties of vintage tape machine delays. The plug-in has been designed with consideration to preserve maximum signal quality at every processing stage.

Lexicon PSP 42 is capable of generating wide variety of delay-based effects ranging from tempo-locked feedback delay with high frequency absorption and tape saturation to flanging and phasing effects.

A flexible modulation section for continuous delay time and pitch control allows the user to add subtle animation or swing to the processed signal as well as to create unpredictable, alien sounds when pushed to its limits. Multiband Madness

The delay processing is split into 3 separate modules, linked to the standard delay controls at the top of the interface, although they can all be adjusted independently. Drag the crossover points in the waveform display to quickly set up the frequency ranges of the 3 bands. Then choose a delay time (including dotted and triplet feel), feedback level and gain adjustment for each. This means that you can have a short delay for your low end and longer ones for mids and highs to send them bouncing around the room. On and off buttons for each band allow you to disable any unwanted processing, just in case you want to keep your bass line tight or mid-range clean.

Saturate, Crush & Detune

Standard delays for each of the 3 bands sound complex and expansive, but you can push the effect to the limit with 3 effects for each band. These run completely independently of one another and include saturation, bit crush and detuning. Apply as much or as little of each process as you like to create different kinds of audio effect. Try introducing sparkling highs with saturated harmonics in the upper-frequency range. Detune the midrange delay for a wavering analogue feel in the body of the sound. Make your bass line scream with crushed low end. 

No HAASsle

The built-in HAAS control of the main delay unit can create a subtle stereo effect by shifting the timing offset of the left or right channel – a tried and trusted technique for adding space and width to your delay adventures.  

Looks are everything

The central window shows exactly what’s happening to each of the 3 bands as the audio passes through the plugin, useful visual feedback to keep tabs on your signal transformations. The 3 coloured waveforms clearly display the effect of each module’s processing allowing for accurate monitoring and surgical shaping at every stage of the chain.

Presets

With many included presets, it’s easy to find the perfect shuffle for your instruments and vocals. These factory options can be used on guitars, bass, drums, synths and more. The presets include everything from subtle ping-pong bounces to massive big-room delays that last for days.

Delay Section
Uses a unique kind of interpolation to achieve the analog sound of a delay and jump into a new era of space stereo delay.

Bitcrusher
Is a unique resolution reducer of audio from which you can get a warmer sound or a harsh one based on the amount of Bit Depth (24-2) to get you from Lofi textures to really “distorted” elements.

Tremolo Section
There are two wavetype LFOs that you can mix with the Tremolo Depth and Frequency Reduction. A Sine wavetype & a Triangle one.

Sync Section
Sync Mode will lock the state of the delay time to the selected time signature.

Dynamic Delay Plugin

Dynamic Delay is exactly what it says, a Dynamic Delay Plugin. It has an internal side chain which ducks the loudness of the generated delays. Once the input audio goes below the threshold the delays can be heard clearly. This is a trick many professional producers use, but takes time to set up in your signal chain and usually requires a separate side chain compressor. Dynamic Delay brings this technique into one easy to use plugin saving time and money.

Side chaining is a very useful mixing technique, allowing sounds to punch through the mix while making others more silent. Dynamic Delay is particularly good on vocals allowing the vocal to really shine through and not compete for space with the delayed vocal. The silence between the vocal can be filled with a nice delay, leaving the original vocal clean and unaffected by the delay.

The delays produced are enhanced with our high quality build in effects that apply only to the delayed sound. These are Lowcut, Highcut, Reverb, Detune and Distortion.

Dynamic Delay has a built in one knob Reverb based on a simplified version of our AR1 Reverb. Detune is our unique algorithm that adds pitch variation to each delay, this adds a more organic and pleasing sound to the delays.

The Distortion is based on our Boost-X Saturation adding dynamic saturation to the delays, this makes the delays standout by adding extra harmonics.

The lowcut and Highcut are 36dB Analog modelled filters cutting unwanted high or low frequencies.

Dual user interface – the plugin is not only extremely versatile, but also quick and easy-to-use thanks to 2 graphical user interfaces. First there is a simple default one with several predefined modes, but just a few controls, which lets you start quickly and easily without any knowledge. All you need to do is choose what you want and use a few knobs. And the plugins also has an advanced mode, which provides all the extreme features the plugin offers.

1-6 fully configurable independent bands – built on 3 perfectly transparent crossover algorithms (analog, linear-phase and hybrid) with fully adjustable limits and input gains. Includes peak meters for all bands and the master.

Continuously adjustable oscillator shape – every oscillator in our plugins is defined by a mix of predefined oscillator shapes, custom waveforms edited using our MeldaProduction Envelope System (MES), step-sequencer and several methods for algorithmic postprocessing. 4 global modulators – in each instance you can have up to 4 fully-featured modulators that can modulate any set of parameters including other modulators! In this way you can make the sound move in time, be less static and more interesting. This audio effect filter is a hybrid between a simple reverb and a very complex delay.

R0Verb consists of up to 50 separate delay lines and puts you in charge of every single delay with controls for volume, pre-delay, feedback & high shelf. It can be used for everything from simple delays to complex spaces, whatever your mix needs. It also has a nice Randomizer if you’re feeling lucky!

• 1. Delay lines – Rôverb consists of multiple delay lines, each with separate parameters for pan, pre-delay time, delay time, gain, decay & high-shelf. The direction of each delay line tells how the output will be panned; if it points to the left, the output will be panned to the left and vice versa. The size of the circles denotes gain levels. The first circle (from origin) is the gain value. The outer circle represents decay.
• 2. Toolbox – Use these to switch between Time change, Delete, Volume, and High shelf gain.
• 3. Randomizer – This tool makes it possible to create a new reverb with user-defined bounds. Weeha!
