Over decades of mixing hit songs, Clearmountain has developed a complex and personalized hardware FX signal chain for creating imaginary soundscapes where musical elements each have their own space and dimension but remain cohesive to the whole. This FX signal chain, developed over decades, involves an entire studio’s worth of hardware gear – live echo chambers, delays, harmonizers, de-essers, EQs and a large format SSL analog mixing console. And lots of patch cords…so many patch cords! Reproducing this complicated interconnection of hardware using individual plugins in a DAW proved to be almost impossible. Input

“Pre-conditioning” the audio before sending it to reverb and delay is an important aspect of the plugin’s unique character. De-essing and 3-band EQ based on Clearmountain’s original hardware devices are included in this view.

Delay

You’ll find all the settings you expect – and a few you don’t – for configuring the stereo delays. Set delay time according to session tempo or tap tempo; link Spin (feedback) for both sides and alter its routing; EQ each side independently; add Blur (saturation) for a crunchy, lo-fi sound.

Pitch Shift / Reverb

Create subtle or outlandish sounds with up to an octave (+-) Delay Pitch Shift plus Random pitch modulation. Then send the perfect mix of direct, delay and pitched delay to any or all three reverbs. Now we’re deep in the Domain!

Mixer

Create the ideal mix of the five FX processes – delay, pitch-shifted delay, and Bob’s three personalized convolution reverbs, then set the blend between the dry and wet signal.

Inspiration in variety 

Having a vintage gear collection in the studio is nice and inspirational but unfortunately, it is also time-consuming and expensive. SounDevice Studio’s owner, Boris Carloff, knows this very well, as he has been collecting vintage gear for more than 20 years:

 “There is always something not working. From tubes to scratchy pots, from meters to noisy caps. And the units are so rare that you can hardly ever use them on multiple channels simultaneously.” To avoid these limitations, we were inspired to create a solution that included the best of these devices into one plugin.  The result is UniChannel.

UniChannel delivers the warm analogue sound, but unlike its real hardware counterparts it can be connected to every channel of your mix. VARM II

VARM II is technology based on knowledge of chaotic behaviour and randomness of the analogue world. Thanks to VARM II, each plugin instance acts slightly differently. VARM models randomness of the subtle differences of the values of the electrical parts – exactly as in the real electrical units and the real console channels. The result is the truest representation of the hardware units’ sound. 

The Germans

The full German Channel is amazing on the drum buss. It is  something like magic on voice, and we wouldn’t use anything else for jazzy styles or  ballad intimacy. German features a fifties-style tube preamp, sixties-style rare EQ, and very early fifties tube vari-mu compressor.

American Sound

The US eighties-style op amp preamp and the eighties-style EQ have mid punch, great for electric guitar or toms, and the US early fifties tube compressor is a fat monster which makes vocals silky with amazing colour.

Classic British

The Classic British channel brings you fat transformer colour for aggressive bass, kick drum, and rock attitude. It includes a British seventies-style transformer fat preamp, a seventies-style EQ, and a seventies-style diode bridge compressor.

Automatic Gain Compensation

Automatic gain compensation quickly adapts to current settings and ensures the output sounds as loud as the input. This even protects you from thinking that something sounds better in cases it is just louder.

Two Become One

At the heart of Supermodal are two powerful filter sections working in tandem. On the left of Supermodal’s interface users will find the Classic Filter, a zero-feedback state variable filter that can morph smoothly between lowpass, bandpass, and hipass filter modes with its ‘Type’ control. It features a fixed slope of 24 db per octave, evoking many well-known analog filters, and is capable of both sweet and chunky filter sounds with the help of a built-in saturation algorithm and input and output controls that allow users to drive it for a fat, musical sound.

To the right of the Classic Filter is Supermodal’s namesake Modal Filter. A ‘meta-filter’ made up of hundreds of resonant bandpass filters, the Modal Filter features 27 different carefully crafted resonation behaviors–or variants– that organize its numerous bands to emphasize various harmonics–known as partials–across the frequency spectrum. These variants are grouped into 9 filter models, which include ‘Vocal Formant,’ with its ‘Ah,’ ‘Ih,’ and ‘Oh’ variants; ‘Struck,’ with ‘Piano,’ ‘Vibraphone,’ and ‘Bell’ variants, ‘Waveform,’ with ‘Saw,’ ‘Square,’ and ‘Hypersquare’ variants, and more. This unique approach to filtering results in transformative sounds unlike anything possible with conventional filtering alone, while ‘Damping’ and ‘Partials’ control allow users to refine the sound of the filter to achieve their desired tonality.

The Classic Filter and Modal Filter are arranged in parallel, combining their outputs for more full-range filtering effects. A ‘Blend’ knob crossfades between them, allowing users to dial in their perfect balance between the two filters’ effects. Supermodal also features a Dry/Wet mix slider, enabling subtler effects that retain some characteristics of the original audio source.

27 SOUND MODELING MODES

The Modal Filter utilizes hundreds of surgically precise bandpass filters to model the resonant bodies of various instruments, objects, waveforms, and more. We created 9 models, each with 3 variations for a total of 27 modes including a range of flangers, phasers, vocal filters, physical and even mathematical modeled resonators. With decay, dampening and partial settings, Supermodal provides fine-tuned control to either subtly or dramatically fashion these unique sonic characteristics into your sound palette.

SHOW STOPPING MANIPULATION

The glamor of Supermodal is fully unveiled when combining its powerful filters with its robust modulation system. The 4 modulation slots offer 6 modulation sources including – Meta knob, ADSR, Envelope follower, Sequencer, MIDI/CV triggers, and Randomizer. You can also cross modulate between slots to create even more intense modulation. Both the State-Variable filter and Modal filter operate in stereo allowing you to modulate the left and right signal independently, together, or separate to deliver awe-inspiring stereo effects. Virtually all parameters in Supermodal can receive modulation.

SVF FILTER WITH FAT NON LINEAR DRIVE

Supermodal’s classic State-Variable filter smoothly blends between high-pass, band-pass and low-pass while working in parallel with the Modal filter. The SVF filter uses a 24dB per-octave slope that is familiar to many classic analog synthesizers, with the ability to boost its resonance to self-resonate. It can be further driven with the Drive feature to add warmth and thicken the signal. Crossfade between the state-variable and Modal filter with its Blend slider for seamless morphing.

Some performances are almost perfect. Almost. The desired perfection can be achieved by using Autoformer. A tool that can act almost inaudibly as well as it can add great colour to your tracks.

Autoformer combines an analogue like pre-amp with automatic volume function and a gentle compressor. It is the right tool for your vocals or voice-overs. Improves drummers or bass-players performances.

Voice, Bass, Double Bass

Autoformer is an ideal companion for mixing both bass guitar and double bass performances. It is indispensable when creating vocal or voice-over tracks. But it can be also used to balance drum records.

The Preamp

Inspired by the Front DAW plugin BR/US/GE buttons in the preamp section represent three types of analogue circuits. BR represents classic fat British consoles, US stands for legendary punchy American style input. Switching to GE will give you velvet sounding colourful vintage German tube console.

Intelligent Volume Rider

Balance section is here to repair performance mistakes and volume dropouts. Its (inaudible) performance will make you feel like they were never there. The SEER parameter detects the ahead signal to decide if your material needs volume adjustment (made by LEVELLER).

Finish

Engage the fast modern compressor to soothe the dynamics of your track without changing your signal’s spectral character. No colour, just fix.

Bypass Any Section

Autofomer is very complex. But thanks to individual bypass switches in each section, if desired, you may use any part as a single effect. Use the automatic volume function only or just the pre-amp in combination with the compressor. Do exactly what you feel is needed.

Under Control

Five LED meters give you a perfect overview of what is going on in Autoformer’s signal chain. Every stage can be monitored so you tracks are perfectly under control.

Realistic 3D Yet Flexible GUI

Photorealistic graphic user interface of the plugin gives you the feeling you are touching the real hardware. But it easily adapts to your needs. You can always drag the arrow in the bottom right corner to change its size – make it smaller to save the valuable screen space, or enlarge it to make it easier to use.

64-bit Audio Quality at ANY Sampling Rate

The plugin provides the maximum audio quality you can get. It uses internal 64-bit audio processing and can handle any sampling rate. 192 kHz or even higher.

Breathing Bit Crushing

Litbit is a simple little bit crusher with a fluid and organic-ly digital sound. It breathes and flows around your audio as it crunches and munches it into lofi goodness.

How is litbit different than the millions of other bit crushers? Litbit’s secret power is in its breathe knobs. Bit crushers are great effects – but often the sound can be too static or unmusical. With litbit, the breathe knobs allow the bit/sample rate reduction to follow the audio input. What results is a smooth and dynamic bit crushing effect that breathes along with your audio.

What else does it do?

Well, first of all – the breathing function doesn’t just need to follow its own audio – it can be sidechained to any other audio track – allowing for complex gestures or pulsating crushing effects that dynamically interact with other instruments.

Then of course, theres crinkle. Crinkle is essentially a jitter or randomize function, and it adds a bit of noisy chaos to the bit/sample rate reduction. The speed of the crinkle is controllable and can be set to mono or stereo – which at slow speeds adds a gorgeous stereo sparkle to your sound.

Not noisy enough? There’s a DC Offset button that realigns the signal and gets quiet sections to blow out and crunch a bit more.

Still not noisy enough? There’s an extra noise dial to add some stereo noise to your signal (pre-effect).

To round the whole thing off, we end with a traditional one knob lopass/hipass dj filter and a blown out saturator to help grime up the sound and blast it through your speakers.

SP2016 Reverb

The SP2016 was the first programmable studio rack processor. It introduced the concept of the ‘plug-in’ to the pro audio world back in 1982, with actual EPROM chips that would be plugged in under the hood. Revered for its signature reverbs, the SP2016 was notably used by Dave Pensado, George Massenburg, Alan Sides, Roy Hendrickson, Jack Douglas, and Mick Guzauski.  The lush reverb can be heard on countless hit records by Talking Heads, Adele, Mariah Carey, Eminem, and more. Now, 36 years later, this signature sound is available for your DAW.

Spring

Spring Reverb models the sound and character of popular spring reverb found in guitar amplifiers, popularized by Surf, Garage and Rockabilly music. Spring takes this a step further by allowing manipulation of physical parameters not normally available in a real spring tank. The results vary from faithful recreations of real springs to distinctive new sounds that push the physical boundaries of reverb.

This vintage reverb sound originally derived from the reflections of sound waves travelling through springs has been given an overhaul for the 21st century and beyond. Eventide Spring contains two different sized ‘spring tanks’ along with the ability to morph between one and three springs. Easily program The Ribbon to seamlessly transition between any two settings in real-time! 

ShimmerVerb

ShimmerVerb combines a massively lustrous reverb with parallel pitch shifters to add ethereal layers making any signal, well, “shimmer.” Oftentimes, producers would achieve the effect by using Eventide pitch-shifting hardware such as the H910, H949, or H3000 or other rack mount units in combination with a reverb. This production technique was popularized by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno on U2’s The Unforgettable Fire.

Now, this iconic sound has been refined and extended with a modern, unified interface that is great for adding dreamy ambience to guitars, keys, synths, samples, and vocals. In typical Eventide fashion, features have been added such as the ability to infinitely feedback the signal, resulting in cascading reverbs that smear into oblivion. Feedback can be further fine-tuned by specifying which frequencies are fed back through the low/mid/high cross-over network. 

TriceraChorus

TriceraChorus is inspired by the classic tri-choruses and stompbox choruses of the 1970s and early 1980s, particularly the Dyno-My-Piano. It pairs rich BBD style tri-chorusing with another signature Eventide effect: micro-pitch detuning. This effect can be used to thicken the sound and widen the stereo field by detuning the left and right signals and pan them opposite directions.

The combination of these effects makes it easy to create syrupy, smooth, and deep modulations on synths, strings, vocals, guitar, bass, and more. TriceraChorus is a great way to add richness and spatial depth to your sounds.

CrushStation

CrushStation is a versatile, best-in-class, stereo distortion platform for your Mac or PC. Its controls can drive your tone from creamy saturation to a brutal sonic assault. But distortion is just the starting point. CrushStation brings multi-effects to the mix by adding a three-band EQ, Compression, Octave Mix and, Eventide’s unique take on failing hardware, the Sag control. Use the MIX Control to blend your dry signal with CrushStation to create parallel compression, distortion, and other creative effects.

Rotary Mod

Rotary Mod is a rotating speaker effect that simulates a Leslie cabinet. Just like the original sound derived from the uber-famous Hammond organ’s Leslie speaker cabinet, the plug-in produces a pulse-like vibrato effect depending on the speed of rotation. Rotary offers precise control to dial in the exact amount of movement you need. This classic, swirly effect has been used on countless hit records to drastically transform guitars, bass, synths and even vocals. Undulator

Undulator is Eventide’s classic modulated tremolo effect from the iconic H3000 effects processor. Whether used for manipulating samples or adding movement to strings, pads, guitars, and keys, Undulator is a muse for creative musicians. Undulator excels at evolving pads, sync’d chops, and time-lapsing dreamy soundscapes. Combined with a multi-tap delay and powerful tremolo, Undulator’s controls give any sound sustain and shape. MicroPitch can take you beyond the run-of-mill stereo spread effects of simple micro pitch plugins. It goes above and beyond by allowing you to mix in detuned and delayed versions of your source, creating depth and dimensions not possible before. With its expanded controls you can achieve deep pitch dives, haunting echoes, and pristine chorusing effects.

Crystals

Eventide Crystals combines twin reverse pitch shifters with reverse delays and reverb. This iconic H3000 Harmonizer® effect can be used to create out-of-this-world climbing and cascading pitched delays or to create unique sounding reverbs. It features two reverse granular delays that can be manipulated by length and pitch. Crystals excels at adding life to synths, guitar, and vocals making them sound huge and majestic.

Crystals is not a one-trick pony. The plug-in is also capable of huge sounding reverbs. Tweak the pitches a full octave down for a quick “drunk vocal” sound. Fit snares in the mix by pitch-shifting down an octave. Set really long delay times (up to 4 seconds per voice) with high feedback to use it as an ambient looper! From sound design to otherworldly solos, Crystals will spark inspiration.

Instant Phaser Mk II

Released in 1971, the Eventide Instant Phaser began the studio effects revolution by successfully simulating tape flanging, an effect that’s been at the core of legendary albums for the last five decades.

Reminisce back to a phaser with analog personality, smooth modulations, and inherent musicality. Outfitted with a complete host of control options, the Instant Phaser Mk II is out of the rack and into your plugin arsenal. This new emulation of the classic effect accomplishes the same legendary sound notably used on hits like Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir” and “Presence”. The capabilities have been expanded, and now you can even take your phaser on an excursion from the 70s far into the future with the delightfully characteristic “Age” knob.

Physion

Physion is the first plug-in to use Eventide’s ground-breaking Structural Effects technology – A new method for processing audio. It allows you to split a sound into its transient and tonal parts, independently manipulate them using Eventide’s world-class effects and then fuse them back together. With the ability to add effects and dynamic controls to the transient and tonal sections, you can produce a wide range of effects, from the subtle to the extreme.

H3000 Band Delays

Imagine if you could take any sound, separate it by frequency bands, change the filter type, and then individually process those bands with delays. The H3000 Band Delays plug-in is dereived from the H3000 Harmonizer® studio processor. This unique plug-in is capable of everything from standard delays and filtering, to stereo-widening and killer rhythmic effects.

With Quadravox, you can take any incoming tones, including drums, and generate up to four voices based on the chosen key and timing interval. It’s optimized for multiple instances so your tracks can interact with each other by way of beautiful harmonies and groovy sequences.

Quadravox controls are intuitive, allowing you to quickly adjust parameters or type in values. Each of the four voices can be independently manipulated by level, panning, delay time with feedback, and pitch, including the type of musical interval. Reverb

Blackhole

Most reverbs are earth-bound and constrained by the physics of the real world. Eventide’s Blackhole reverb breaks the rules by allowing you to create virtual spaces that could never exist in reality (at least the one we inhabit). At large sizes, its soft attack and lingering, harmonic tails allows it to really shine on guitars, strings and pads. At small sizes, those very same qualities can add an angelic sheen to vocals or turn a simple drum track into an otherworldly rhythm section.

MangledVerb

MangledVerb™ is a unique effect combining reverb and distortion. Ported directly from the award-winning H9 Harmonizer®, MangledVerb is capable of creating lush reverbs, ripping distortion leads and sound-sculpting musical chaos. Guitarists have used it for years to create signature sounds and now you can have it in your favorite DAW.

Tverb

Tverb was developed in collaboration with legendary producer, engineer and musician, Tony Visconti. The plug-in was inspired by the iconic sound of the title track of David Bowie’s twelfth studio album, Heroes, recorded in August 1977 in the shadow of the Berlin Wall. With only one track left for lead vocals, Visconti was able to harness the power of Bowie’s voice by inventing a stunning recording technique. This technique is the foundation of Tverb.

Tverb integrates three completely independent lush reverbs with compression and selectable polar patterns on microphone 1 and adjustable gates on microphones 2 and 3. Tverb recreates Visconti’s iconic effect as a starting point while adding features that enable new soundscapes and effects. The use of stereo microphones enhances the effect and DAW automation can be used to program the microphones to wander around the hall as the track plays.

UltraReverb

9 High End Hardware-Based Reverb Algorithms Bundled in a Single Native Plug-in. UltraReverb comes packed with over 300 killer presets and features reverbs from the H8000, compression, EQ and delay integrated for the most flexible reverb plug-in available. 

Clockworks Legacy

Instant Flanger Mk II

Modeled on the original hardware unit from 1976, the Instant Flanger plug-in simulates the happy accidents of flanging sounds originally produced by interfering with physical tape machines. Its phase-reversed and variable-delay outputs, create a heavy stereo effect. With its simple controls, Instant Flanger allows you to instantly oscillate your tones and will add a new layer of movement to guitars, drums and synths.

By pressing multiple front panel “IN” buttons, Instant Flanger allows for multiple simultaneous control modes. Have the flange moving constantly with an LFO, while also spiked by the peaks from the envelope follower!

H910 Harmonizer®

The H910 Harmonizer was the world’s first digital effects processor. With its unique combinations of pitch shifting, modulation and delay, the H910 can be heard on countless ground-breaking works by artists from AC/DC to David Bowie to Frank Zappa. Simply put, nothing sounds quite like it.

A powerful creative tool, the H910 plug-in for AAX, VST and AU is a faithful recreation of the original hardware. Use the H910’s pitch changing ability to create specific musical intervals and perfect harmonies, spread guitars, fatten snares, apply subtle organic de-tuning to synths or add slap-back delays to vocals. At extreme settings, you can create unheard-of mechanical sounds, drone effects or robot language using self-oscillation, delay, and anti-feedback.

H949 Harmonizer®

Building on the legacy of the H910 pitch shifter, the H949 was Eventide’s first de-glitched pitch-shifter. Produced from 1977 to 1984, it introduced MicroPitch which used a proprietary single sideband modulation technique for precise control of small pitch shifts. The H949 also offered unique flange, reverse and randomized pitch effects.

Popularized by Jimmy Page (as the only piece of digital gear to grace his rig) and cherished by Suzanne Ciani, the H949’s full feature set is recreated in this plug-in. From basic engineering and sound sculpting tasks to demonic space robot creations; H949 is built to inspire.

Omnipressor

Introduced in 1971, the Omnipressor® rack unit was widely used on hit records throughout the last four decades. One of Eventide’s first customers was a young Brian May, lead guitarist of Queen. With the Omnipressor in his rig, his sound was never the same again.

Professional quality dynamic-modifier for gating, compression, limiting and expansion. The Omnipressor is even capable of reversing a sound’s envelope, making loud sounds quiet and quiet sounds loud. This plug-in is based on the original Eventide Omnipressor, introduced in 1971 and used on hit records throughout the last four decades.

Instant Phase Mk II

Modeled on the original hardware unit from the early 1970s, the Instant Phaser plug-in simulates one of the first dedicated electronic effects units ever made. Producers and engineers put it to use on countless hit records to create stereo images from a single source and create swept comb filter effects similar to – yet distinct from – tape flanging. The Instant Phaser employed a series of eight, FET-based, carefully tuned analog all-pass filters which delivered lush phasing while preserving the original tone.

EChannel is a powerful audio engineering channel strip that includes a routable gate, a powerful parametric EQ, a versatile compressor and an output transformer simulation. EQ 45

Eventide’s EQ45 is a faithful recreation of the Urei 545 equalizer. Its streamlined, easy to use interface features a four-band parametric EQ with high and low cut Butterworth filters, width and gain controls for each frequency band, and an overload protection mechanism.

EQ 65

Eventide’s EQ65 is a faithful recreation of the utilitarian studio tool, the Urei 565 Filter Set. This two-band notch/bandpass filter set allows you to quickly find a selected frequency and perform a boost or cut of the signal. It’s a precision tool that allows you to surgically de-emphasize or completely eliminate selected frequencies in an audio recording.

Precision Time Align

Precision Time Align is a high precision sub-sample delay that can slide a track forward or backwards in time. It will help you get perfectly synchronized double-tracked recordings completely eliminating timing anomalies and phase issues from your mix, especially on multi-miked drums, vocals and instruments.

Turnado is rock solid and light on CPU, if you plan to use it in a live performance or, say, in a dozen instances simultaneously.

When you open up one of the effects’ edit panels, you quickly begin to realise how powerful Turnado really is. With the ability to tweak five different parameters, the degree of control available is staggering.

Each of these five knobs can be tied to the main-screen knob, which is what gives them the magic! If you want some hands-off automation as well, each slot has two LFOs/step sequencers and an envelope follower that can be used to modulate. These can be assigned to any effect parameter.

There are two options when it comes to routing the signal through the effects: going through each in series (from bank 1-8) or Dynamic Signal Flow mode, where it follows the order in which each effect is activated.

Setting up the order of effects is an art in itself – and the ability to swap effects by dragging one onto another allows you to quickly audition how a different order can have a drastic effect on the overall sound.

This can also be handy if, for example, you always want a reverb to come last in a chain regardless of when it’s active.

Two Become One

At the heart of Supermodal are two powerful filter sections working in tandem. On the left of Supermodal’s interface users will find the Classic Filter, a zero-feedback state variable filter that can morph smoothly between lowpass, bandpass, and hipass filter modes with its ‘Type’ control. It features a fixed slope of 24 db per octave, evoking many well-known analog filters, and is capable of both sweet and chunky filter sounds with the help of a built-in saturation algorithm and input and output controls that allow users to drive it for a fat, musical sound.

To the right of the Classic Filter is Supermodal’s namesake Modal Filter. A ‘meta-filter’ made up of hundreds of resonant bandpass filters, the Modal Filter features 27 different carefully crafted resonation behaviors–or variants– that organize its numerous bands to emphasize various harmonics–known as partials–across the frequency spectrum. These variants are grouped into 9 filter models, which include ‘Vocal Formant,’ with its ‘Ah,’ ‘Ih,’ and ‘Oh’ variants; ‘Struck,’ with ‘Piano,’ ‘Vibraphone,’ and ‘Bell’ variants, ‘Waveform,’ with ‘Saw,’ ‘Square,’ and ‘Hypersquare’ variants, and more. This unique approach to filtering results in transformative sounds unlike anything possible with conventional filtering alone, while ‘Damping’ and ‘Partials’ control allow users to refine the sound of the filter to achieve their desired tonality.

The Classic Filter and Modal Filter are arranged in parallel, combining their outputs for more full-range filtering effects. A ‘Blend’ knob crossfades between them, allowing users to dial in their perfect balance between the two filters’ effects. Supermodal also features a Dry/Wet mix slider, enabling subtler effects that retain some characteristics of the original audio source.

The Modal Filter utilizes hundreds of surgically precise bandpass filters to model the resonant bodies of various instruments, objects, waveforms, and more. We created 9 models, each with 3 variations for a total of 27 modes including a range of flangers, phasers, vocal filters, physical and even mathematical modeled resonators. With decay, dampening and partial settings, Supermodal provides fine-tuned control to either subtly or dramatically fashion these unique sonic characteristics into your sound palette.

SHOW STOPPING MANIPULATION

The glamor of Supermodal is fully unveiled when combining its powerful filters with its robust modulation system. The 4 modulation slots offer 6 modulation sources including – Meta knob, ADSR, Envelope follower, Sequencer, MIDI/CV triggers, and Randomizer. You can also cross modulate between slots to create even more intense modulation. Both the State-Variable filter and Modal filter operate in stereo allowing you to modulate the left and right signal independently, together, or separate to deliver awe-inspiring stereo effects. Want to try some parallel processing? Drop in the Tap module and you are good to go. Several of SigMod’s modules offer easy access to functionality which is either missing from certain DAWs, or at least complicated to access natively. Solo/mute or trim the left and right sides of a stereo signal independently, or easily flip the stereo image in one click. Quickly detect and correct DC offset to retain valuable headroom.

How does your mix sound in mono? Think about how many listeners will be using a phone or a DAB radio with one speaker – the Mono module switches your signal from stereo to mono in one click.

You can also check the phase relationship between your left and right channels with the Phase module.

Mic Mod includes precise digital models of over 100 legendary microphones. Just tell it what mic you’re using and what mic you want it to sound like.

Mic Mod not only reproduces all of the subtle sonic characteristics that make each microphone unique, it also gives you control of each mic’s specific options. Does the mic have a low cut filter? If so, it’s in the model. Close or far placement? Just dial in the proximity control. Each option results in the same sonic effect that it would have with the actual mic. For that final touch of perfection, you can even add some tube saturation.

• Proximity Effect is a bass boost that results from placing a directional mic in close proximity to a signal source (e.g., a singer’s lips). Pickup Pattern
