On top of being a workhorse filter for standard frequency treatment, it’s specifically designed for creative sound design and just having some fun in your production. Hassle-Free Modulation
The SSF was born around an idea of a filter with a self-modulating cutoff slider. Automating filter cutoff can create neat sounds and is used everywhere in modern-day music. Why not make it as painless as possible? Sync the modulation to your beat or let it oscillate freely from 0.1 up to 50 times a second. The range of the modulation is easily changed just by dragging from either side of the slider.
7 Filters + Volume Mode
The SSF comes with a filter for all of your filtering needs. The additional volume mode enables a whole new dimension of creative possibilities. Tremolo, gate, sidechain, you name it. Volume mode, together with the pan slider, for instance, can create engaging stereo separation effects. Browse through the filters with just one mouse click.
Need Swing
I love music with swinging rhythms. Something about it makes beats and melodies sound more energetic. When syncing SSF to your project’s tempo, the swing slider helps you match the modulations exactly to your track’s time signature.
Hunt for the Perfect Rhythm
Don’t want to spend time drawing automation clips? The random mode doesn’t only modulate the cutoff but also creates modulation patterns for you. Choose between four different pattern lengths, pick rates you want to include in the randomization, and let the SSF do its magic. Enable skips, and some rates get randomly ignored to create even more diversity in your rhythms. If the skips aren’t what you are looking for, you can randomize them again, independently of the rates.

Fast Envelope Controls
Just five sliders give you complete control over the modulation characteristics. Realtime envelope changes transfer smoothly to the cutoff sliders movement, giving you the freedom to automate them as you wish!
